What a way to finish an action-packed day of Hundred cricket.

Drama, excitement, tension, fireworks, songs and a streaker.

What more could you ask for?

We'll be back again tomorrow for four more games.

Two lots of a capital derby as London Spirit take on Oval Invincibles and a double helping of Manchester Originals v Birmingham Phoenix.

Northern Superchargers captain Ben Stokes on Sky Sports: "It's the first game in this competition for us. To get to where we were in the end you have to give massive credit to Brook and then Brydon and Potts to even get us close at the end.

"Myself, Lynn and Lyth didn't help the start of the innings but that gives the likes of Brook the confidence and responsibility to play that way. That's what we want, for them to go out and express themselves.

"He takes the game on from ball one. He's not scared or frightened to go against any bowler, which is what we do in international cricket. I don't think it's too long before we'll see him with the three Lions."

It was a fantastic atmosphere and the cricket was entertaining. The momentum can change so quickly in The Hundred. Sometimes in T20 cricket the game can be dead and buried because a team is too far ahead.

Welsh Fire leg-spinner Qais Ahmad, who took 4-13: "Pitch was good for spinning. The wicket is a little slow. The captain and coach said 'you are my main bowler'."

Qais Ahmad is the Hundred 'hero of the match'. A very good call. His last five balls in particular were crucial to the Fire winning this game.

You have to give credit to how Fire batted in the first innings, their leg-spinners bowled terrifically. Qais Ahmad with his four wickets would be my Match Hero.

It was there for Carse to hit. But he can only send it spinning to the deep to be fielded.

    The Fire hold on.

    What a finish, though.
