  1. Phoenix 23-0published at 90 balls left

Shafali Verma with a punched drive through the point region. It's pure timing as the ball pierces the circle and trickles to the boundary for four. A poor set from Kathryn Bryce who goes for 15 off her first set.

    Decent start by the Phoenix.

You can't set your field to bad bowling. And those are two bad balls by Kathryn Bryce.

  3. Phoenix 16-0published at 93 balls left

Kathryn Bryce with the second set. She strays on to the pads of Eve Jones first ball, and the left-hander simply helps it round the corner for four. It's back-to-back boundaries for Jones when she slaps Bryce straight down the ground next ball.

Verma hasn't fired in this tournament so far. Perhaps the pressure is telling on the 17-year-old. Or maybe today will be her day.

  5. Phoenix 7-0published at 96 balls left

Shafali Verma rocks back in her crease and waspishly hooks Katherine Brunt, almost looking away as she is through the shot, for four.

Katherine Brunt bowling to Shafali Verma. It's these contests that The Hundred is for. They had a brilliant battle during the England v India series earlier in the summer.

  10. 'It is disappointing'published at 12:17 British Summer Time 1 August 2021

Birmingham Phoenix bowler Issy Wong, speaking to Sky Sports about her two no-ball beamers, said: "When you're bowling you haven't got the best view, but I'll have to have another look at some stage. It is disappointing. Not being scared of that slowy is something that I've really worked on, so I'm going to keep backing that.

"The swing wasn't really a surprise. If you look at the conditions we've had a bit of rain, and it's quite overcast, so I was quite lucky to get the ball in my hand early on.

"It is a good challenge going against these players. We know what they can do, they've done it all over the world, but this competition has the best players in it and there's no better way to challenge ourselves."

A productive final set for the Rockets as Georgia Elwiss is taken to the cleaners by Heather Graham.

Graham pings the first ball of the set for four past point and then finishes with a six over cow corner.

A brilliant cameo from Graham, who finishes with 44 from 21 balls.

You want a set batter in for the last ten balls, and that's what Heather Graham can take advantage of.

Issy Wong has been ordered out of the attack because she bowled two no balls over waist height - that's when the ball doesn't bounce so goes directly at the batter above the waist. It can be very dangerous and that's why she's been taken off.

  16. Rockets 131-5published at 94 balls

Heather Graham goes aerial off Issy Wong through cow corner. A ball later Wong gets it wrong with a beamer, hit through the same area and it's a free hit. Wong's next delivery is also above waist height and it's another no ball, and a free hit.

However, Wong is whipped out of the attack for bowling two beamers and Emily Arlott has to bowl the free hit, which is whacked over her head for four.
