    Brave 18-0published at Ball 13

    Hello!

Quinton de Kock, that is beautiful.

It's not even that wide from Mohammad Amir but the left-hander just caresses it over the cover boundary for six.

  3. Brave 12-0published at Ball 11

It will be left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir from the other end, and James Vince steers his first ball down to third for a single.

  4. Brave 11-0published at Ball 10

    Oh, almost!

Mohammad Nabi tries to get out of the double-set without conceding a boundary, but a slog sweep from Quinton de Kock just evades the dive at Eoin Morgan at square leg and races to the boundary.

It would have been a superb catch.

A good start from Nabi who is a very economical bowler. He won't fear bowling to either of these two Brave batters.

  6. Brave 4-0published at Ball 5

Both James Vince and Quinton de Kock are off the mark.

Mohammad Nabi is going to continue for another set of five. This looks like a predetermined plan, rather than an on the cuff decision by Eoin Morgan.

  7. Brave 0-0published at Ball 2

Mohammad Nabi starts with two dot balls.

    This is a huge game.

It is fair to say the tournament hasn't gone that well so far for London Spirit.

It hasn't been the start that Southern Brave would have hoped for either.

They could both do with a win tonight.

Another defeat for Spirit would make it extremely difficult for them to reach the knockout stages. It is only the top three teams that progress, don't forget. The top side automatically reach the final, with second and third playing in the Eliminator on 20 August.

  13. London Spirit win the toss and choose to bowl firstpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 1 August 2021

We've already had the toss and London Spirit captain Eoin Morgan won it and he's decided to bowl first.

He wants to chase because it's what the majority of teams have done to best effect in this tournament so far, he says.

  14. Spirit without head coach Warnepublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 1 August 2021

London Spirit will be without their head coach Shane Warne tonight after he returned a positive lateral flow test this morning.

He is now self isolating, alongside another coaching member, until results of a PCR test are known.

No players have been impacted at this stage.
