Clever bowling from Sharif. He followed Shahzad, who got underneath the ball, and it was a good catch. It's the breakthrough that Scotland wanted - they need to keep attacking and taking wickets.

A bit of relief for Scotland. Mohammad Shajzad sends another into orbit but this time doesn't get the distance. Chris Greaves steadies himself as the ball drops out of the night's sky and takes the catch.

He starts well before Zazai goes after a wider ball - collecting a four over the off side. There's a fella covered in black, green and red body paint in the stands who enjoyed that. There's no doubt who he is supporting.

These two Afghanistan openers are in decent form. They both hit fifties in a big win over West Indies in a warm-up game.
Shahzad looks far less comfortable against pace than spin. He's trying his best to get the ball over to that short boundary but some ugly hoiks only get him one.
