    Somerset 180 v Surrey 121-1

No joy for Somerset's reshuffled bowling attack in this first hour, while Surrey have really picked up the pace.

Rory Burns has rattled along to reach 77 not out, looking particularly strong on the leg side, while Ben Geddes has slotted in nicely despite being given a stern examination by Peter Siddle's outswingers.

Surrey closing in on that modest Somerset total. They're just 59 behind.

  13. Ravindra makes historypublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Durham 406-4 v Worcestershire

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

New Zealand opener Rachin Ravindra has become the first Durham player to score a double hundred on debut in a home game.

He got there this morning after facing 300 deliveries and hitting 34 fours.

He is the 11th player to score a century for Durham on debut. Only three have made double hundreds. Jon Lewis' 210* came at The Parks against Oxford University in 1997. Mike Hussey's 253 in 2005 was in Leicester.

Ravindra is only playing in this one because South African Keegan Petersen went home a game early for personal reasons.

Ravindra also put on 134 for the fourth wicket with fellow debutant Jonathan Bushnell, who has just been dismissed for 66, caught at second slip by Taylor Cornall off Dillon Pennington. Cornall is also on debut for The Pears.

  14. Division Two updatepublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

Elsewhere in Division Two, Middlesex have removed Derbyshire's run-machine Shan Masood for 49. The hosts are 67-1 in reply to Middlesex's 251 all out at Chesterfield.

Oli Carter is still going along nicely for Sussex at Glamorgan. He's 131 not out in their 285-8. Glamorgan have lost paceman Michael Hogan to Covid and so Andy Gorvin has replaced him in the XI.

Leicestershire are 383-9 against Notts with Ben Mike on 46 not out.

    Durham 403-3 v Worcestershire

What a dream debut for Rachin Ravindra!

The New Zealand international goes to his maiden double century off exactly 300 balls.

The 22-year-old has only signed up for this game as a replacement for Keegan Petersen and he's punishing Worcestershire at Chester-le-Street.

  16. 50 runs

for Rory Burnspublished at 11:23 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Somerset 180 v Surrey 78-1

Surrey are making good progress this morning and skipper Rory Burns has just completed his half-century from 107 balls.

Burns clipped Peter Siddle to the midwicket boundary before going for the hook next ball and got enough of a top edge for the ball to sail over the long leg boundary.

It's only the second time the Surrey opener has passed 50 this season, having hit 107 against Northamptonshire at the Oval.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:11 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    O Price c Leaning b Milnes 51 (Kent v Gloucs 391-8)

We might have spoken too soon about that fifth bonus point for Gloucestershire - they're still nine runs short and Ollie Price has now gone, just after completing his half-century.

Price went for the pull against Matt Milnes and Jack Leaning took the catch at deep square leg to give the bowler his fourth wicket of the innings.

  20. Postpublished at 11:10 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Somerset 180 v Surrey 64-1

Meanwhile, another change at Taunton - with Hashim Amla feeling unwell overnight and not returning to the crease to resume his innings for Surrey.

Amla could return later in the innings, but for now it's a first appearance of the season for Ben Geddes, joining Rory Burns at the crease as Surrey look to wipe out this first-innings deficit.
