Here is how the Group 1 table looks. It would take an extraordinary set of results for New Zealand to miss out on a semi-final spot now given their net run-rate.
Australia can boost their chances - and put pressure on England - with a victory over Afghanistan next.
Sri Lanka also have a chance but need Afghanistan to beat Australia and then a win over England tomorrow.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson: "A really good team performance which was required. We knew what the Ireland team are capable of and they have played some amazing cricket and for us it was about focussing on our skill set and I think we played well today."
"Just holding in the surface a little bit and I think the openers did a really good job and then had wickets in hand to build partnership and adjusted nicely to the conditions.
"We were trying to take our options and work with your partners at the other end. If one of us is going and the other is going to be positive and adjust. When you're new to the crease you just make sure you're in the right spot when they come in.
"We were just trying to bowl slower and adjust our end beautifully and pulled the game back."

Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie: "We were playing a top class team and you have to be on it for the whole game. We had a good start with the bat and couldn't really capitalise on that. When you're playing a top team, you have to capitalise on starts like that.
"I thought we bowled pretty well but our fielding has been a bit off all tournament. We've dropped a few catches that we'll look back on but we've had a pretty good tournament all round and I think the guys can be very proud of their efforts.
"The trend in this tournament has been that you don't have to go too hard in the powerplay, you can catch up. Me and Paul managed to do that but neither of us could kick on and get a big score to win the game.
"I think we've got to be happy. At the start of the tournament we looked like we were going home early but we beat Scotland and got on a bit of a roll. We're playing better than we were 12 months ago but to get to where these teams are, we've got to go again."
On Josh Little hat-trick: "He's been amazing the whole tour and all our seamers, and spinners, are starting to show their class. Hopefully that continues"

Player of the match, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson: "The ball held in the surface a little bit. The guys at the top of the order were brilliant to navigate that new ball and we were able to build partnerships throughout.
"We got to a very competitive total at the half way stage and the guys with the ball adjusted nicely, we knew the spin would really come into the game and they bowled beautifully well."
On his batting: "Similar in that we were able to build partnerships and it was nice to make a contribution. It was nice that we were able to get a bit of momentum and time a few balls as well, which is always nice.
"A good team effort really, that Ireland team has been playing beautifully, they've got a really well rounded side and it was a good match and good to get the win."

Ha, the next ball Josh Little tries a ramp but ends up on his backside.
Steady, Josh.
