  1. Fire 62-1published at 55 balls left

    97 runs needed

Duckett and Clarke aren't willing to take any risks against Narine just yet, aided by a wide, they take five from his latest set.

The Fire look well positioned in this chase but the Invincibles know that a couple of quick wickets changes that.

These two are very good square of the wicket against spin, even though it is bigger square of the wicket they can go with those percentage shots.

  3. Fire 57-1published at 60 balls left

    103 runs needed

Joe Clarke also decides it's time to get the broom out. Poor ball from Briggs on leg stump and Clarke thumps it away behind square for four more.

The Fire have quickly brushed past that wicket of Banton.

  4. Fire 52-1published at 62 balls left

    107 runs needed

Ben Duckett was superb on the sweep in the Fire's first game and he's at it again here, getting Briggs away behind square for just the second four of the innings (there have also been three sixes)...

    Neck and neck.

The worm shows Welsh Fire Men are one run ahead of Oval Invincibles Men. Welsh Fire Men are 46 for 1 after 35 balls. At the same stage Oval Invincibles Men were 45 for 2.

He struggled to find his flow, he didn't rotate strike and the pressure built up. He found himself under pressure and was caught on the crease.

    Banton lbw b Narine 15 (Fire 46-1)

That is plumb! Sunil Narine does it for the Invincibles!

Tom Banton played back, the ball turned a touch and stayed very low and when the batter missed, you did not need to be a professional umpire to give that one. Stone dead.

Ben Ducket is the new batter for the Fire.

The Invincibles need a wicket so here comes Sunil Narine...

  9. Fire 42-0published at 70 balls left

A steady set from Matt Milnes on debut. Just four runs from it as the Fire just tick over.

  10. Fire 39-0published at 73 balls left

    120 runs needed

Proof that those ramp shots we see players use all the time these days are not as straightforward as they make them look.

With the field up, Clarke gets into perfect position for a ramp but the ball comes off the toe-end of the bat and trickles into the leg side.

That'll be a nice shot to get him going, it's always nice to find the middle of the bat.

The worm shows Welsh Fire Men are eight runs ahead of Oval Invincibles Men. Welsh Fire Men are 38 for 0 after 25 balls. At the same stage Oval Invincibles Men were 30 for 2.
  12. 6 runs

Fire 38-0published at 75 ball left

    121 runs needed

Tom Banton has really struggled to get going but shots like this will help, he nails a short ball over deep backward square for six!

As we've mentioned, those square boundaries are big so that is some hit! It's also why the fielder was some way off the rope. Had he been all the way back, it would have been a simple catch.

  13. Fire 30-0published at 79 balls left

    129 runs needed

A bit messy all round as Sam Curran sends a ball down the leg side from around the wicket, Clarke swings at it and misses and then Billings fumbles it behind the stumps, allowing an extra run.

  14. Fire 27-0published at 80 balls left

Really good slower ball to finish from Tom Curran and this time Clarke nearly swings himself off his feet trying to heave it away.

Five balls left in the powerplay. Will the Fire look to take advantage?

Joe Clarke looks in terrific touch. He sort of just slapped his hands through it and the fast outfield meant it ran away. It was a lovely piece of timing.

  16. Fire 26-0published at 83 balls left

    133 runs needed

Clarke advances to a Tom Curran slower ball and puts it away nicely through the leg side, superbly timed and it races away for four.

One of the values of having the extra pace with someone like Mohammad Hasnain is that you always have that wicket-taking potential. In this format that is what really slows the run-rate or a chase down.

  18. Fire 21-0published at 85 balls left

    138 runs needed

Hasnain pulls it back well and finishes with a well-directed bouncer to Banton, who sways out of the way late.

The Fire almost gifted their first wicket with a run out after some indecisive running but the shy at the stumps is just off target and Clarke survives.

  19. Fire 18-0published at 88 balls left

    140 runs needed

Not the start that Mohammad Hasnain would have wanted. A leg-side wide followed by a no-ball!

Thankfully for the Invincibles, Banton isn't able to get any bat on the free hit but it's still a rather untidy start from the fast bowler.

That was beautifully played by Joe Clarke. He just really climbed into it.

Danny Briggs just missed his mark slightly and Clarke spotted that beautifully.

The worm shows Welsh Fire Men are four runs ahead of Oval Invincibles Men. Welsh Fire Men are 16 for 0 after 10 balls. At the same stage Oval Invincibles Men were 12 for 0.
