  1. Post update

    Kevin Howells

    BBC Radio commentator

A little bit to think about for the bowler here. He's tried to mix it up and tried to make it difficult but nothing has been working so far.

  2. Post update

    DJ Bravo

DJ Bravo rocking the matching purple shoes.

  3. Originals 39-0

    Salt 30, Evans 8

Willey fields off his own bowling and that's a tidy set.

Evans very much playing the supporting role here.

  4. Post update

    Lauren Winfield-Hill

Oval Invincibles batter on BBC Radio

Willey has gone a bit too full to Salt. He's obviously trying to swing the ball but at times he's over-bowled his length.

What an effort! What an attempt there. Dwayne Bravo deserves all the applause in the world for even trying to get to that.

  6. Salt dropped on 19

    Salt 21, Evans 8 (Originals 34-0)

OH WOW! That would have been an absolute stunner from Dwayne Bravo at mid-on. He was running back and had to try and take it over his shoulder. It was in. And then it wasn't.

That would have been a stunning end to Phil Salt who is motoring along.

  7. Post update

Andre Russell is all smiles strutting around the boundary and giving thumbs up to fans. He even has someone to carry his bat for him!

  8. Originals 21-0

    Salt 18, Evans 2

Great start from Raine and the batters are struggling to get him away. Half an appeal for lbw but there's a bit of Salt's bat in there.

This has been a tight five from Raine and he's done well after an expensive start off the bowling of Willey.

    I say that....

The final ball of the set is launched into the leg-side boundary by Salt. It's put down in the crowd. Again!

  9. Post update

    Lauren Winfield-Hill

Oval Invincibles batter on BBC Radio

I think Evans will relish the opportunity to open the innings.

  10. Post update

    Kevin Howells

    BBC Radio commentator

I've not seen too many go that far in that direction.

  11. Originals 10-0

    Salt 10, Evans 0

Swing from the beginning here from David Willey. He's just so good at finding that late swing. He's got a slip in place too.

But you don't need a slip when Phil Salt is whacking it out to deep square for four. He opens his account with a boundary.

He goes back to back boundaries with a six and that is MASSIVE into the off side. What a swing! And yes we've lost a ball already. We're only five balls in!

  12. Post update

The fireworks are going off around the ground and we are ready for all the fireworks on the pitch now. Faf Du Plessis leads his team out amid the smoke.

Laurie Evans strides out in place of Jos Buttler to open alongside Phil Salt.

  13. Post update

Could this be the day for a 200 plus? I would be so keen for that. Nothing like a run-fest to banish any Sunday blues!

  14. Who will take it?

Thumbs up if the Superchargers can nab another win today.

Thumbs down if the Originals will take it.

  15. Big hitters start your cars

    Harry Brook and Andre Russell

We love a match-up and they just keep coming in this format.

Harry Brook knows how to hit a big ball and will have been licking his lips at the prospect of getting out there when he saw Deandra Dottin in action earlier. He can be destructive in the middle over and will take on the spinners.

For the Originals it's Dre Russ. Andre Russell is a seasoned professional with bat, ball and in the field. He can light up any stadium so be ready if you're in the crowd at Headingley tonight. This will also be his last game in this year's Hundred so he'll be ready to go out with a bang.

  16. Post update

Manchester Originals captain Laurie Evans: "He [Jos Buttler] is a massive player and he was in great form. We'll need different players to step up.

"We were going to have a bat actually just with the stats, so we're not unhappy with that. It is always a great place to play white-ball cricket and it doesn't change much. We'll need to be better than them in both formats."

  17. Post update

Northern Superchargers captain Faf du Plessis: "The pattern here so far. I know it is a fresh wicket so we'll have a look and see what it does early on. It looks a good wicket.

"Both teams are in a similar position having taken a couple of games to get back up towards the top so we'll be looking to take that form."

  18. How they line up

Northern Superchargers: Faf Du Plessis (c), Adam Lyth, Adam Hose, Harry Brook, David Willey, John Simpson (wk), David Wiese, Dwayne Bravo, Ben Raine, Adil Rashid, Craig Miles.

Manchester Originals: Colin Ackerman, Phil Salt (wk), Wayne Madsen, Andre Russell, Tristan Stubbs, Laurie Evans (c), Paul Walter, Tom Hartley, Josh Little, Matt Parkinson, Mitchell Stanley.

  19. Superchargers win the toss and will bowl

Laurie Evans, captain in place of injured Jos Buttler, calls wrong and the Superchargers win the toss. They will bowl first.

They've already seen the women's team take on a might chase tonight and Faf du Plessis is backing his bowlers to keep the team in black to a chaseable total.

  20. Post update

Both the Originals and the Superchargers are coming off the back of a win but both are also floundering in the middle of the table. However, when they met in their respective first game of the 2022 tournament, it was the team in purple who came out on top. Manchester Originals will be out for revenge in the Superchargers' own back yard as they head to Headingley tonight.

They are both in the hunt for their third win and it is getting to crunch time if they hope to qualify in the top three.

The mood in the Originals' camp will be pretty good as they are heading into this game having dominated the defending champions South Brave, winning by 68 runs at the Ageas Bowl. It was an all-round performance with both bat and ball and the Superchargers' bowlers will have to bring their A Game to take on their batting line up.

For the Northern Superchargers, it's about repeating the feat from the first game where it all came together and they got one-up on their Northern rivals.
