  1. Post update

    75 balls to go
  2. Superchargers 42-0

    Target 115

The Superchargers are well on top after the powerplay and they haven't looked like breaking sweat either. The powerplay ends with another sweetly struck Lyth boundary.

  3. Superchargers 37-0

    Target 115

Lyth looks in great touch, placing the ball for four through the offside, he moves onto 30.

    BBC Radio

There's a gap there and Lyth finds it. Looking very good here.

  5. Post update

    Samit Patel

Trent Rockets & former England all-rounder on BBC Radio

Wickets can be the only thing that can win this game.

  6. Superchargers 32-0

    Target 115

Du Plessis has played second fiddle so far in this partnership, he's been content to give Lyth the strike. It's a good set from Payne but there's barely any pressure on the batters.

  7. Post update

    Samit Patel

Trent Rockets & former England all-rounder on BBC Radio

Superchargers are making it look easy. When you don't have that many runs to chase that can happen.

We might be on for an early finish with the way things are looking at the moment.

  9. Superchargers 29-0

    Target 115 (Du Plessis 2, Lyth 23)

Two more fours for Lyth, through fine leg off a wayward ball from Dwaine Pretorius and then again through the legside. He looks like a man in a hurry.

  10. Post update

    Nikesh Rughani

    BBC Radio

Lyth has hit the most sixes in the men's competition. He loves the pace and uses it very well.

  11. Superchargers 19-0

    Target 115

It's exactly the start the Superchargers would have wanted, there really is no margin of error for the Fire bowlers.

  12. Post update

    Samit Patel

Trent Rockets & former England all-rounder on BBC Radio

Superchargers are going to try and play big in the power play, something the Welsh Fire couldn't do.

  13. Superchargers 19-0

    Target 115

Jake Ball bowls the second set of five and Lyth immediately looks to charge him. He picks up a four with a flick to fine leg. It's followed by a big six over midwicket, a great start for him.

  14. Superchargers 9-0

    Target 115 (Du Plessis 1, Lyth 3)

A sloppy start from bowler and keeper as four byes are conceded. Payne then tightens his line and length for the rest of the first set of five.

  15. Post update

    Samit Patel

Trent Rockets & former England all-rounder on BBC Radio

Welsh Fire will have to try and take ten wickets. We know Superchargers aren't going to hold back.

  16. Superchargers 0-0

    Target 115

Superchargers' captain Faf du Plessis will open the batting along with Adam Lyth.

David Payne will bowl the first ball. Here we go.

  17. Interval

    Target 115

    Many thanks Josef.

Earlier the Welsh Fire women were successful in defending a total which on paper didn't look too daunting. Can the men follow suit and register their first win this year?

They certainly have it all to do against a strong looking batting line up.

  18. Post update

Right, that's me done for the day.

Tawhid Qureshi will take you through the Superchargers' chase.

    All yours mate!

  19. Post update

    Ben Duckett

How important will Ben Duckett's 64 off 48 prove to be then?

He was the only Welsh Fire batter who managed to get set on what he described as "a really difficult pitch".

  20. Post update

Welsh Fire batter Ben Duckett to Sky Sports: “It’s a really difficult pitch. I felt like we couldn’t hit it down the ground. But personally I think we have a chance. We have to keep the stumps in play and try and take wickets, but you never know.

“Maybe last game on a similar wicket we bowled wide. But we have to keep the stumps in play for all 100 Hundred balls. I think new batters coming in on that pitch will find it tough.”
