You need to have Marie Kelly batting in the powerplay. She has been coming in at five previously but it's not suited to her game, so this is a good move.

  2. 6 runs

    Rockets 14-1published at 8 balls

Much better from Marie Kelly, she carves a four before taking on Wyatt on the leg-side boundary.

It's six or out this one...six! She gets just enough on it with Wyatt fingertips away.

  3. Rockets 4-1published at 5 balls

    Kelly 4, Villani 0

Great start from Lauren Bell, taking that early wicket.

Skipper Anya Shrubsole will bowl the next five.

Marie Kelly has improved so much in the last couple of years. She can hit the ball everywhere but sometimes that can be too much, because she has got all the shots.

It's just about learning when to play them at the right time.

  5. Rockets 4-1published at 4 balls

First boundary. New batter Marie Kelly inside-edges Lauren Bell for four.

    How's your luck?

Bryony Smith actually got a good connection on it but she couldn't have picked out Danni Wyatt any better if she'd tried!

Well that was quick. Bryony Smith mistimes one and ends up flicking the ball straight to Danni Wyatt on the leg-side boundary.

What a start for the Brave.

Southern Brave are a great team because they just find ways to win games from positions when they probably shouldn't.

Their line-up is relentless. If you get a couple of early wickets, you still end up bowling at England players.

  9. Rockets 0-0published at 1 ball

And we're off. Bryony Smith blocks the first ball from Lauren Bell.

We talk about the boundary sizes a lot. They look smaller than they are because we're playing at Test match grounds now, so even when the ropes are brought in 20 metres or so from the men's boundary, they are still a good size.

  12. 'Last game was a blueprint'published at 15:26 British Summer Time 25 August 2022

Southern Brave v Trent Rockets (15:30 BST)

Trent Rockets captain Nat Sciver to Sky Sports: "We would have liked to have bowled - I wasn't impressed with Anya's coin-spinning technique!

"We are coming together at the right time. We would have liked a few more wins as a team but the last game [18-run win over London Spirit] we played was pretty much the blueprint we want to go by.

"We want to bring it all together and work together - in the field especially as that's probably been our strength, with the bowling and try to squeeze teams, so if we can get a score on the board hopefully we can do that."

  13. Today's match-up: Wyatt v Sciverpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 25 August 2022

We've picked out England duo Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver as our key battle today.

Wyatt struck 65 off 34 balls for the Brave in her opening match of the tournament against London Spirit. She has since made 14, 31 and 16 in her next three outings.

Will we see the opener have a go with the ball today? Her tricky offspin has only been utilised once this tournament, against the Oval Invincibles where she took 2-16.

Trent Rockets captain Sciver is in sparkling form in this year's Hundred with both bat and ball.

She's made scores of 31, 59* and 42* across her last three appearances, taking 1-24, 0-25 and 2-20.

Question is, who will be the star performer today?

  14. 'Most important thing is we're winning'published at 15:22 British Summer Time 25 August 2022

Southern Brave v Trent Rockets (15:30 BST)

Southern Brave skipper Anya Shrubsole to Sky Sports: "This is the first toss I've won! We are going to have a bowl. It's obviously rained a bit overnight and this morning - and we like to bowl first as a team anyway.

"We know how to bowl here to be effective and hopefully we can restrict them to a total that we can chase.

"We want to keep winning, it keeps building that momentum, hopefully towards the knockout stages.

"There are things we can improve but the most important thing is that we are winning and we want to carry that on today."

  16. Brave bouncing, Rockets up and downpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 25 August 2022

Southern Brave v Trent Rockets (15:30 BST)

It's been a perfect Hundred campaign for the Southern Brave so far with four wins out of four.

Victory today would seal a top-three spot and progression to the knockout stage. Even if they lose, it would take a freak run of results to stop last year's runners-up moving on.

But it's must-win territory for fourth-placed Trent Rockets at the Ageas Bowl this afternoon after two wins and two draws thus far.

With only one game remaining after this one, defeat would leave the Rockets only able to amass six points at best - and that surely won't be enough.

It's crunch time in the Hundred with just two games left in the group stages.

Every delivery is crucial now, it's time to make yourself a hero...or a villain.

And lucky us, we're in for a cracker of a game first up as the Southern Brave host the Trent Rockets.

Brave have won the toss and chosen to bowl first.
