That's classic Jenny Gunn. Just angling the ball back, maybe a bit of nip off the seam and that has done for Tammy Beaumont.

A really nice time to get a wicket just past the power play.

    Beaumont b Gunn 10 (Fire 41-1)

    Bowled them!

This is a cracking delivery from Jenny Gunn, getting the ball to swing back and take out Tammy Beaumont's middle stump.

The Welsh Fire captain falls for 10 off 12.

  3. Fire 41-0published at 32 balls

Tammy Beaumont attempts to sweep new bowler Jenny Gunn with the ball flicking off her pad behind the keeper for four.

    How's your luck?

  4. Fire 36-0published at 30 balls

Katie Levick comes in and bowls a tidy set, going for just four runs off her first five.

The Fire are happy to just rotate the strike at this stage.

I'd say honours are pretty even after the power play. Welsh Fire will be very happy given their run of form that they have managed to set a platform. Sarah Bryce in particular has looked very impressive.

Power play done. I'd say Welsh Fire will be the happier of the two sides at this early stage.

I would imagine Tammy Beaumont's role in the side is to play the anchor role and allow other batters to play aggressively around her.

  9. Fire 32-0published at 24 balls

    Bryce 19, Beaumont 3

    Another boundary.

Tammy Beaumont finds her first four, flicking a short ball from Linsey Smith past a diving fielder to the leg side for four.

  10. Fire 26-0published at 20 balls

    Bryce 19, Beaumont 3

The Fire have had some almighty collapses this tournament. This opening partnership is crucial for the hosts.

That's a fantastic shot. It was just short of a length but Bryce was so quick on it. A great connection through mid-wicket and gave the fielder no chance.

  12. Fire 26-0published at 19 balls

Shot! New bowler, but same result from Sarah Bryce as she pulls a short one from Graham for four.

The Welsh Fire are ticking along nicely now.

  13. Fire 18-0published at 15 balls

The Superchargers mix things up, handing the ball to medium pacer Heather Graham.

  14. Fire 18-0published at 15 balls

    Bryce 15, Beaumont 2

    Here we go.

Sarah Bryce is taking on Slater, cutting her away for four not once, not twice, but thrice.

And just like that, all the pressure that was built up has been relieved.

That was more about self preservation from Rachel Slater. It was smashed back at her.

  16. dropped catch

Bryce dropped on 3published at 12 balls

    Fire 6-0

The Superchargers turn to pace with Rachel Slater and Sarah Bryce immediately tries to take her on.

She fires the ball back to the bowler who just about gets a hand to it to slow it down. Technically a drop, but nobody's catching that.

That's a really good start by Linsey Smith. There were no freebies and really made Welsh Fire work for their five runs.

  18. Fire 5-0published at 10 balls

No wickets for the Superchargers but they're still the team on top.

The Welsh Fire have been made to work so hard for their five runs.

  19. Not outpublished at 8 balls

    Fire 4-0

A big shout as Sarah Bryce could be run out scampering for a single.

The fielder hits the stumps from close range but Bryce's bat was just about grounded. Another close one.

I think it's a good decision. Just with the angle it looked like the ball was sliding down.

That would have been a nightmare start for Welsh Fire. They will be desperate for a good start from the openers.
