Almost caught at backward point. He's flayed it behind square, it hung in the air but just past the fielder for four.

    Oh wow!

Phil Salt almost goes first ball, edging a loose one from Mohammad Nawaz to short third man.

Instead it squirts underneath the fielder for four.

It feels like a shootout between Alex Hales and Phil Salt to open with Jos Buttler at the T20 World Cup.

England all-rounder Sam Curran: "It's my first time in Pakistan so it very different but I'm really enjoying playing in front of the Pakistan crowd, they've been amazing.

"The cricket so far has been great. Hopefully we can win this match and make it 3-3.

"We're just trying to be a little but unpredictable in the middle overs, bowling our bouncers and it's worked in this game and on these type of wickets. In Australia it might be different and we might need different plans.

"We're pretty happy with the way we bowled, the wicket got pretty good and the outfield is getting wet so it should be an interesting chase."

More than 10 an over in the last five overs, good stuff from Pakistan but we saw how tricky conditions became for the bowlers.

Steve: Decent score that. More than enough to comfortably defeat this current England side.

    Steve does not believe.

No celebration from Reece Topley. He's frustrated with himself for going for as many runs as he did in that last over but he held his nerve. The England coaches will be very pleased, by and large, with how the bowlers have bowled.

It feels like a below-par total in Lahore.

Reece Topley's bowling: 0% full, 72% good length and 28% short. 4 overs, 0 maidens, went for 31 runs, took 1 wickets with an economy of 7.75.

England had got back into the game. But 28 runs were scored in the final two overs.

Advantage Pakistan at the halfway stage although I wonder how much the dew will worsen in Lahore...

Nawaz just picks it up off his toes. It's in the slot, really, but you've still got to hit it and it's gone many a mile.
