    BBC Radio

If the fielder can't catch it, Topley will just hit the stumps!

  2. WICKET

    Davies b Topley 4 (Brave 14-2)

That drop means nothing as Reece Topley bowls Alex Davies next ball! Davies goes for another big shot but can only underedge onto his stumps and the bails fly high into the air! Relief for Rilee Rossouw.

If you want a job doing properly etc etc..

  3. Davies dropped on 0

He took a stunning catch earlier but this will go down as drop by Rilee Rossouw. Alex Davies hammers it towards him in the offside and the ball squirms past him for four.

A tough chance, but a chance missed all the same.

  4. Brave 15-1

Sam Curran, who was superb with bat and ball in Invincibles' win over Superchargers last week, will bowl the next set of five.

And what a set of five it is. Just the one run for James Vince off it.

Brilliant start this by the home side.

Former IPL batter on BBC Radio

Two great sets from Topley, bowling a perfect length to De Kock and line as well. He got the perfect reward for his brilliant first 10 deliveries.

    BBC Radio

Unbelievable catch in the deep, a stunning effort.

  7. WICKET

    De Kock c Rossouw b Topley 8 (Brave 9-1)

    What a catch Rilee Rossouw!

He has dived forward at full stretch to take a stunning catch to remove his fellow South African Quinton de Kock, who departs for eight.

A deserved reward for Reece Topley who has started brilliantly with the ball.

  8. Brave 9-0

After a shaky opening Quinton de Kock finally finds the middle of the bat.

It is over-pitched from Reece Topley but that is a lovely cover drive away for four.

    BBC Radio

Topley has just found a magic length at the moment.

  10. Brave 5-0

Ooh, that's gorgeous from Reece Topley as he extracts some early life out of this (used) pitch. Squaring Quinton de Kock outside his off stump again. Next up De Kock goes fishing outside his off stump.

Ha, would you believe it. The final ball of the first set De Kock finds an under-edge away for four.

Great opening set from Topley. So good in fact he is going to bowl the next set.

  11. Brave 1-0

A bit wayward from Reece Topley first up, his opening delivery is called a wide first up.

The second ball though is a beauty, tempting Quinton de Kock into a swing and a miss outside his off stump.

  12. Post update

Oval Invincibles certainly have an imposing-looking top order as James Vince and Quinton de Kock stride out into the middle.

Reece Topley, who has enjoyed a fine summer so far, will open the bowling.

    Let's go!

  13. Today's match up

Oval Invincibles have been boosted by the return of Will Jacks after international duty with England Lions and he features in our match-up of the day.

Only Jason Roy scored more than Jacks' 146 runs for Oval Invincibles last season, while his strike rate of 176 was highest of any Invincibles player to face more than three balls.

The 23-year-old made an inauspicious start this year, scoring just one in the Invincibles' opening game defeat to London Spirit, though he then smashed 81 from 45 in their win against Welsh Fire before departing for England duty.

After missing out last year due to coronavirus restrictions, Marcus Stoinis is finally getting his chance in the Hundred.

A powerful, versatile batter and medium-pace Bowler The 32-year-old has become a mainstay in the Australia white ball side and played a key role in their 2021 T20 World Cup success. He also took a career best 2-8 in the third T20 against Sri Lanka in June.

He is also a regular in franchise cricket around the world, earning a fine reputation as both a finisher and dominant opener.

  14. Teams

Oval Invincibles: Jason Roy, Will Jacks, Rilee Rossouw, Sam Billings, Jordan Cox, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Sunil Narine, Danny Briggs, Reece Topley, Mohammad Hasnain.

Southern Brave: James Vince, Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Davies, Tim David, Ross Whiteley, James Fuller, George Garton, Rehan Ahmed, Jake Lintott and Michael Hogan.

  15. Post update

There's a further blow for Southern Brave, who are already with Tymal Mills for the rest of the tournament. Chris Jordan is out of this match with a finger injury so George Garton comes in.

There's two changes for Oval Invincibles as Sam Billings and Will Jacks are back from England Lion's duty. They come in for Matt Milnes and Hilton Cartwright.

  16. Post update

Southern Brave captain James Vince: "We would have fielded as well but we're not too disappointed to be batting first because it is a used wicket and there is a short boundary to one side. We haven't batted first in this competition yet so it is a bit of chance.

"We started with a win but then two disappointing results so we're looking to put that right. It is always a nice place to bat here, hopefully we can post a decent score and then defend it later on."

  17. Post update

Oval Invincibles captain Sam Billings: "Southern Brave are a very good team, champions last year so we have to be right on it tonight. But we are starting to build a little bit of momentum with ball and bat so hopefully we can kick on.

"We are going to have a chase. We do that pretty well. The Oval is one of the best places to watch white ball cricket so hopefully we can put on a show tonight."

  18. Oval Invincibles win the toss and choose to bowl
