Ollie Robinson, who took 4-50 and has been named player of the match: “The pitch was tough for our seamers but we kept going. Every player didn’t leave anything behind and it was a great effort.

“We had to be patient. We knew if we could get a fresh partnerships in with a reversing ball we had a chance.

“We knew it would be hard but we toiled away and the batters gave us that opportunity. If they didn’t score as quickly as they had we would have had the chance.

“Coming to Pakistan and playing on these flat wickets, this is probably the best Test win I’ve had so far definitely.”

Jimmy Anderson says this the best Test win he has been a part of overseas and possibly the best anywhere.

An absolute rethink is required from all of us.

This is working and it's intimidating for the opposition. It's just a totally different mindset.

I don't think any other team in the world would've won that game.

No other team would've declared and given the other team such a good chance of winning. That is the mantra of the game.

That will send morale sky high. This is a freakish win.

Jony Ball: This is possibly the best win by an English Cricket team ever, but certainly in the modern game. Stokes & Bazball has transformed a pitiful insipid England team into a trailblazing, generational challenging pioneers....

Genius captaincy from Stokes. How is it possible for him to be at the centre of so much unbelievable sporting drama, time and time again? Just brilliant.

Former England captain Michael Atherton on Sky Sports: “It has to be one of England’s finest ever Test match wins. I couldn’t think of another England team that would have won the game on this pitch.

"Even if the result had gone against England today I don’t think you would have had anyone criticise it. It gave us a fantastic last day. The crowd was brilliant and enthralled. What is the point of sport if it isn’t about that?”

Extraordinary performance from England. They were struggling. They were excellent. They have put in all the energy it was hard fought and a good declaration. They deserve it. SImple as that.

It was a long wait for England to come to Pakistan and it was just amazing.

I'd go bigger. Their greatest win overseas? It's up there with the 2010-11 Ashes in recent times.

What do you reckon? Have you seen better?
