It's all been very pedestrian this over, three singles and three dot balls from Rumana Ahmed's first over.

  2. Aus 73-1published at 11 overs

Shorna Akter's comes on to bowl her first spell.

Short and wide and Meg Lanning takes full advantage, hitting the ball past the fielders at cover and there's a diving attempt to stop it from getting to the boundary rope but the ball wins the race.

The worm shows Australia are 18 runs ahead of Bangladesh. Australia are 73 for 1 after 11 overs. At the same stage Bangladesh were 55 for 3.

Let's hope Shorna Akter can be a bit more aggressive with the ball than she was with the bat earlier.

Now would be a good time for some dot balls.

  4. drinks break

    Drinks breakpublished at 10 overs

    Aus 65-1

Mst Ritu Moni has managed to slow Australia down by conceding only three runs. There hasn't been a boundary for three overs.

    Time for a drinks break.

Honestly? I am glad to know my eyes didn't totally deceive me.

    It was a fantastic appeal.

It wasn't even an appeal, it was a full on celebration.

  7. Not outpublished at 9 overs

    Aus 62-1

The fourth ball of this over is hit straight into the ground by Alyssa Healy before Fahima Khatun takes a catch. The bowler thought it was a wicket but I'm afraid not. Bump ball.

The last ball is cut away by Meg Lanning and gets past the fielders in the covers. Alyssa Healy and Lanning come through for a single.

Alyssa Healy is her typical aggressive self today.

  9. Aus 58-1published at 8 overs

Ritu Moni comes into the attack. She has taken 20 wickets in T20 cricket.

There's four singles from Moni's over as the Australian batters continue to rotate the strike. They are building a good partnership.

    That was a fantastic effort.

She is a fantastic prospect. If she can field as well as bowl she's going to be in this Bangladesh side for a long time.

It was an astounding effort, she was racing to it. She is a fantastic cricketer. It would have been the catch of the tournament.

  12. Aus 56-1published at 7 overs

Healy hits the ball up high towards wide long-on and Marufa Akter charges around the field, making a dive but it's a dropped catch and it's gone to the boundary ropes for four.

Marufa looks frustrated, but that would've been an incredible catch.

What has been really nice in this tournament for me so far is that we've seen sides are closing the gap on the big five.

  15. Aus 46-1published at 6 overs

Australia are starting to accelerate now. They have the highest net run-rate in Group 1.

Skipper Meg Lanning hits Nahida Akter's second ball towards mid-on for four.

Bangladesh are doing well in the covers to stop any other boundaries and the rest are dot balls.

That is too easy for Alyssa Healy. I don't see how you can bowl off-spin with a mid-off up in the powerplay.

  18. Aus 40-1published at 5 overs

    Target 108

Alyssa Healy punishes Salma Khatun's short and wide ball. She slashes it away to the off side, finding the gap between cover and extra cover for four.

It's a profitable over for Australia, who take 10 runs off it.

That is more like the Alyssa Healy we know. We've been waiting for that.

  20. 6 runs

    Aus 30-1published at 4 overs

Alyssa Healy has had enough. She comes down the ground and hits it straight over Nahida Akter towards the boundary ropes for six.

Lanning wants some action too. She hits a cover drive off the last ball for four.
