Teams are going to have to look at this and find a way of attacking Manchester Originals in the powerplay.

It's two games in a row now where the batters have gone nowhere against Mahika Gaur.

  2. Invincibles 36-1published at 40 balls

Katie George comes back well after that boundary, mixing up her pace, and concedes only one form the next three deliveries.

  3. Invincibles 35-1published at 37 balls

Superb shot from Alice Capsey. She swivels on the pull shot and nails the ball into the gap for four!

Joe Root has a wicket in the 2023 Hundred! He has Adam Hose caught in the deep for 18 with his fifth ball in the competition for Trent Rockets.

That leaves Northern Superchargers deep in trouble at 31-4 after 30 balls.

  5. Invincibles 31-1published at 35 balls

Well, the good news for Oval Invincibles is that Mahika Gaur is done.

The left-armer finishes with figures of 1-13 from her 20 balls. Brilliant from the 17-year-old.

Alice Capsey likes to move around the crease. She's just given herself some room, and rolled her wrists really nicely to get the placement in the gap.

  7. Invincibles 29-1published at 32 balls

Not much width from Mahika Gaur but Alice Capsey does well to create some and carves the ball away over backward point for four!

    This is a huge partnership.

We [Welsh Fire] played the Invincibles last week and they lost wickets in a big cluster.

But if they get a partnership going, they have got some very explosive batting.

  11. Invincibles 25-1published at 30 balls

More left-arm seam for the Originals now with Katie George into the attack. She's had such injury struggles over the past couple of years so it's great to see her back bowling.

After three good balls to start, Alice Capsey charges the fourth and clubs it wide of mid-on for four!

  12. Electric Wood takes three early wicketspublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 9 August 2023

It has been quite the start over at Trent Bridge where Northern Superchargers are 16-3 after 20 balls.

Left-arm quick Luke Wood dismissed Matthew Short, Harry Brook and Tom Banton - all three of them bowled.

But, I would say they have just allowed Mahika Gaur to bowl at them. They have got to try and do something different now and get things going.

It's been a tough start for the Oval Invincibles mainly down to Mahika Gaur's bowling.

  15. Invincibles 17-1published at 25 balls

That's the end of the powerplay and it's been a good one for the bowling side.

Mahika Gaur has been exceptional for Manchester Originals with Kathryn Bryce backing her up well.

  16. Invincibles 16-1published at 23 balls

Alice Capsey is trying to get Oval Invincibles moving and this is a good start: a couple of steps down the pitch and she swats Kathryn Bryce over the off side for four!

  18. Invincibles 11-1published at 20 balls

    Swing and a miss!

Alice Capsey tries to pull a back of a length delivery from Mahika Gaur but gets nothing on it.

The end of a fabulous set of 10 from the young left-arm seamer.

That's down to the pressure that Mahika had created from her previous deliveries.

The batters couldn't get anything away and it forced Lauren Winfield-Hill to try something different, but the shot just wasn't there to play.

Mahika Gaur has just stuck to her strengths and bowled full and straight.
