Live Reporting

Tom Mallows and Sam Drury

All times stated are UK

  1. Spirit 25-1

Four more for Adam Rossington, clattered through extra cover!

  2. Spirit 19-1

Adam Rossington finds the boundary with a drive, up and over cover for four.

  3. Spirit 15-1

Dan Lawrence is off the mark with a single, doubling the number of runs Reece Topley has conceded in his first 10 balls.

  4. WICKET

    Crawley c Wiese b Topley 12 (Spirit 14-1)

It is a fantastic catch from David Wiese!

Clean connection from Zak Crawley but an even better grab from Wiese as he moved to his left and then dived to take the catch low down.

Reece Topley has a deserved wicket.

  5. Umpire review

Is that a brilliant catch from David Wiese at mid-on?

Zak Crawley thumps the ball back past Reece Topley and Wiese ran round and dived to take it.

He's claiming it but Crawley stays put. The umpires send it upstairs.

  6. Spirit 13-0

After seven balls without a run, Zak Crawley has hit three boundaries in a row.

Across his stumps this time and just scoops the ball fine of the short fine leg fielder. Very nicely played.

  7. Spirit 9-0

    Zak Crawley

Zak Crawley has really struggled early on here but he is off the mark eventually, flicking the ball past short fine leg for four.

And that gets him going! He walks down and clubs the next ball down the ground for four more!

  8. How's stat?!

Will Northern Superchargers attack Zak Crawley with spin early?

The England Test opener averages 24.30 against the slower stuff, but 33.29 against pace in T20s.

Left-arm spinner Callum Parkinson may have been the best option to him but he's not playing today so leg-spinner Adil Rashid may be where they turn. Crawley averages 24.50 against leg-spin.

  9. Spirit 0-0

Superb start from Reece Topley - no runs from his first five balls.

Zak Crawley does thump a drive back past him but can't beat the fielder at mid-on.

Matt Potts will bowl the next five.

  10. Spirit 0-0

Reece Topley is bowling the first five and it's something of a rarity to start - a leave!

Good line and length form Topley so Zak Crawley just lets the ball go through to the wicketkeeper.

You wouldn't see him doing that in Test cricket...

  11. Post update

There is a good crowd in at Lord's and here come the Northern Superchargers to generous applause.

It's a much warmer welcome for the London Spirit openers.

The countdown has begun on the big screen so the first ball is just seconds away...

  12. Teams

London Spirit: Adam Rossington, Zak Crawley, Dan Lawrence, Matthew Wade, Daryl Mitchell, Ravi Bopara, Matt Critchley, Jordan Thompson, Liam Dawson, Nathan Ellis, Dan Worrall.

Northern Superchargers: Matthew Short, Tom Banton, Adam Lyth, Harry Brook, Adam Hose, Saif Zaib, David Weise, Wayne Parnell, Adil Rashid, Matthew Potts, Reece Topley.

  13. Post update

    Zak Crawley

London Spirit Dan Lawrence: "I wasn't 100% sure what i wanted to do. The stats all suggest that batting first at Lord's you win more games than you lose so it was a good toss to lose.

"Winning tight games shows we're very close as a team. The table is so close, we are playing some good cricket but we just need some luck falling our way and we'll be as good as gold.

"Our support here is always second to none. It's always a good night on a Friday."

  14. Post update

Northern Superchargers captain Wayne Parnell: "It has been a really good wicket so far in the competition and runs on the board is something that is always really nice for us.

"It is just about playing the big moments really well. Even the games we've lost we could have won it but that is just the way short-format games go.

"We do have a few changes - Adam Lyth is back and Matthew Potts is in."

  15. Superchargers win the toss and bowl

Wayne Parnell guesses right at the toss and Northern Superchargers are going to chase.

They make two changes with Adam Lyth and Matthew Potts coming in for Brydon Carse and Callum Parkinson.

There's one change for London Spirit as Jordan Thompson replaces Chris Wood.

  16. Post update

    Welcome back!

After Northern Superchargers beat London Spirit in a nail-biter in the women's game, it's time for part two of today's double-header at Lord's!

Can Superchargers do the double and move up to second in the men's table or will Spirit hit back to lift themselves to within a point of the play-off places?
