Tom Mallows and Sam Drury

All times stated are UK

  1. Goodbye

That is all from us this evening. My colleague Sam Drury's match report is now live. If you missed the earlier game you can read all about it here.

Join us tomorrow for text commentary and in-play clips of four more matches, starting with Trent Rockets v Birmingham Phoenix in the women's competition at 11:00 BST.

Rockets v Phoenix in the men's competition begins at 14:30, a game you can also watch live on BBC Two.

Southern Brave v Oval Invincibles in the women's competition also begins at 14:30, before the men's game at 18:00.

    See you then!

  2. Post update

The innings didn't start to well for Spirit, with Bopara and Ellis guilty of some bad drops.

They soon made amends however. Bopara finishing with figures of 4-21, while Ellis' 1-28 included some brilliant bowling at the death.

  3. Post update

This is why Ravi Bopara was named Match Hero, his slower knuckle ball caused the Superchargers batters all sorts of problems.

  4. Post update

Match Hero, London Spirit's Ravi Bopara: "It was nice until the rain came and we thought we would have to bowl 20 balls with a wet ball. But it was a great game. All the games in this tournament have been close and tonight felt close as well.

"Once you have a wet ball it has hard to get the revs and commit to the slower ball, but luckily it didn't rain too hard and we got away with it.

"This bowling attack has played so many games at Lord's so we know these wickets can be tacky and the slower balls do work, but you can't be too predictable.

"It was a must win for us today. The support has been brilliant all year, so thanks for that all the way through."

  5. Post update

Here's how the table looks after that win for London Spirit.

    It's tight, isn't it?

It's very hard to call who will be the three sides progressing to the knockouts at the moment.

    Men's Hundred table: Invincibles 9, Brave 7, Originals 7, Spirit 6, Superchargers 5, Rockets 5, Fire 5, Phoenix 4
  6. London Spirit win by 13 runs

Matthew Potts nudges a single off the last ball but does little change the result. Some brilliant bowling at the death caps a fine display with the ball as London Spirit win by 13 runs and boost their chances of a place in the knockout stages!

  7. WICKET

    Wiese c Thompson b Ellis 6 (Superchargers 146-7)

David Wiese holes out to Jordan Thompson in the deep. London Spirit on the brink.

  8. Superchargers 146-6

    15 runs needed

Good bowling from Nathan Ellis. It is full and straight, restricting Wayne Parnell to a single.

The next ball is right at David Weise's toes and flies through for a bye.

  9. Superchargers 145-6

    16 runs needed

Wayne Parnell clatters the first ball from Nathan Ellis away for four.

    16 needed from four balls.

  10. Superchargers 141-6

    20 runs needed

Wayne Parnell hits his first ball from Liam Dawson for four.

Superchargers need 20 runs from the final five.

    Can they do it?

  11. WICKET

    Hose c Ellis b Dawson 33 (Superchargers 137-6)

What a catch by Nathan Ellis!

Adam Hose pulls it around the corner but Ellis runs from short fine leg and takes the catch from over his shoulder diving at full stretch. An absolutely stunning take.

  12. Superchargers 135-5

    26 runs needed

Nathan Ellis responds well to being hit for six, conceding just one run from the rest of the set.

Superchargers need 26 from the final 10. Liam Dawson will bowl the penultimate set.

  13. Superchargers 134-5

    27 runs needed

    Ooh, this may change things!

Adam Hose has mullered a slower ball from Nathan Ellis over mid-wicket for six.

  14. Superchargers 124-5

Some quick running between the wickets brings two runs as David Weise clubs it to fielder on the cover boundary.

Superchargers are behind the DLS rate so need to get on with things.

It is raining steadily but the umpires are desperately trying to keep the players out there for as long as possible.

  15. Post update

The rain looks to be easing slightly so on we go as David Weise joins Adam Hose in the middle.

  16. WICKET

    Brook c Mitchell b Bopara 44 (Superchargers 118-5)

Harry Brook goes! Could this swing the game if we to to DLS?

He pulls to Daryl Mitchell on the cover boundary who takes a smart catch right on the rope.

    Ravid Bopara has four.

  17. It's raining

Oh dear. The rain was widely predicted and has duly arrived.

The players are staying out in the middle for the moment though.

  18. Superchargers 115-4

This is a clinic from Harry Brook here.

He smashes Matt Critchley through the covers with a wonderful drive before cutting the next delivery to the rope.

Brook has raced on to 43 from 22 balls.

  19. Post update

Here are the three wickets that Ravi Bopara took to swing the game into Spirit's favour.

This stand of 50 has made it close again.

  20. Superchargers 106-4

    55 runs needed

Oof, what a shot from Harry Brook.

It is almost a yorker from Jordan Thompson but Brook digs it out and almost disdainfully clatters it away back down the ground for four. The next ball his hammered over mid-off and over the rope again.

Are we in for another thrilling finish here?
