  1. Superchargers 39-4published at 65 balls left

Wayne Parnell has bumped himself up the order a bit to join Harry Brook in the middle. They need something special to dig themselves out of this hole.

Matthew Short stumped by an absolute mile.

Calvin Harrison saw Short dancing down the track so dropped it in short and the Superchargers batter found himself way out of his ground, giving Jos Buttler the simple task of whipping off the bails.

    Hose c Buttler b Tongue 15 (Superchargers 35-3)

Flicked off the glove! Brilliant review by Originals.

Adam Hose goes and Superchargers are in a bit of trouble.

  4. Originals reviewpublished at 75 balls left

Josh Tongue appealsImage source, Getty Images

Josh Tongue thinks Adam Hose may have feathered an edge through to the wicketkeeper here as he chased a wide delivery down leg.

Tongue was convinced, as was Jos Buttler, who reviews.

  5. Superchargers 24-2published at 80 balls left

    Adam HoseImage source, Getty Images

New batter Adam Hose smashes the ball through the off side for his first boundary.

Superchargers have shown plenty of attacking intent, but those two quick wickets have left them behind the eight ball already.

  6. wicket

    Banton c Harrison b Hartley 6 (Superchargers 16-2)

    Originals strike again!

Tom Banton goes for the reverse-sweep but can only fire it straight to Calvin Harrison who takes a really smart catch at point.

  7. Superchargers 15-1published at 85 balls left

    150 runs needed

The speed gun showed Josh Tongue got up to 89mph during his first set so it is no surprised he is asked to continue.

Tom Banton uses that pace to play an uppercut that sends the ball flashing over point and away for four.

  8. Fire set Spirit 162 to winpublished at 100 balls

Hayley Matthews offers a bit of last-ten momentum with consecutive fours off Tara Norris.

Sophia Dunkley sets herself for a standing reverse shot before Amelia Kerr's delivery is halfway down the track, but she succeeds only in sending the ball right into the hands of Lauren Filer at gully. She departs for 68.

New batter Sarah Bryce arrives with the first six of the match, but she should be caught by Danni Gibson at deep mid-wicket. Instead the simply pops off her raised hands and over the ropes.

Spirit finish off with the wicket of Matthews, run out attempting a second run from a shot into the covers.

  9. Superchargers 7-1published at 90 balls left

Tom Banton is the new batter. He joins Matthew Short, who gets the first boundary of the innings by helping a short delivery from Jamie Overton around the corner and through fine leg.

  10. wicket

    Lyth c Walter b Overton 1 (Superchargers 2-1)

And Jamie Overton strikes straight away!

The slower ball does for Adam Lyth, who loops the ball straight to Paul Walter at mid-off for a simple catch. Lyth knew he was in trouble as soon as he hit it.

A tough chase just got tougher for Superchargers.

  11. Superchargers 2-0published at 95 balls left

    163 runs needed

Solid opening set from Josh Tongue, costing just two singles.

Jamie Overton will bowl the second set at a gloriously sunny Old Trafford.

  12. Fire tick overpublished at 90 balls

    Fire 141-2

A lovely four for Hayley Matthews, driving through the covers off Charlie Dean. The Fire batters then run five singles off Sophie Munro.

They have wickets in hand and ten balls to go, will we see some Fire acceleration now?

    Thanks, Sam.

Northern Superchargers did well to peg things back at the end of that Originals innings, but they will do well to chase down 165.

Josh Tongue will open the bowling for Originals, with Adam Lyth and Matthew Short opening the batting for Superchargers.

  14. Postpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 20 August 2023

I reckon this is set up for a very interesting chase. Jos Buttler showed it is possible to score quickly once you get in but getting that far isn't easy on a used and slightly stoppy surface.

To see how Superchargers get on in their chase, it's over to Tom Mallows.

  15. Postpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 20 August 2023

Manchester Originals batter Phil Salt: "Its not the easiest out there. I think we are slightly over par on this surface but time will tell.

"We are good at home, we know what skills to use at what times. Hopefully the bowling unit will have picked up a few things from what they did right out there."

  16. 50 runs

50 for Dunkleypublished at 80 balls

    Fire 126-2

Sophia Dunkley moves past fifty, pushing a high full toss from Sophie Munro into the leg-side.

Another strange review as we take a look at whether Sophia Dunkley is back in her crease after a ball from Amelia Kerr. She very much is, and follows up with a four through backward square.

  17. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 20 August 2023

Three wickets for nine runs in the last 10 balls of that innings. That's a very good comeback from the Superchargers.

But batting doesn't look straightforward on a used surface at Old Trafford, even Jos Buttler struggled to time the ball on occasion.

    Sophie Devine
New Zealand captain on BBC radio

Originals will feel like they've left runs out there but their bowling attack can put pressure on Superchargers early.

  19. wicket

Northern Superchargers need 165 to winpublished at 100 balls

    Holden b Topley 11 (Originals 164-6)

Brilliant from Reece Topley! He cleans up Max Holden with the last ball of the innings.

An inch-perfect yorker. No boundaries from the last 10 balls is an excellent finish for the Superchargers.

But Jos Buttler's highest score in The Hundred, 75 from 47 balls, has taken Originals to a decent total.

  20. Originals 163-5published at 98 balls

Really good final set so far from Reece Topley, he's varying his pace to great effect.
