Fifty for Van der Dussenpublished at 18 overs
Gorgeous timing from Rassie van der Dussen as he pushes Matheesha Pathirana through mid-off off for another four.
A nice way to bring up a half-century.
Mendis (76), Asalanka (79) & Shanaka (68) hit defiant, rapid fifties
But Sri Lanka are eventually bowled out for 326 to lose by 102 runs
South Africa post 428-5 - highest total in World Cup history
Markram smacks century off 49 balls - fastest in Men's World Cups - before falling for 106
Van der Dussen and De Kock also hit sublime centuries

Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen pick up a single a ball off Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka's latest over.
Here's a six from Van der Dussen from a little earlier.

There's more grass on the pitch than expected, I think it's to hold it together. It's was difficult for South Africa to get the scoring going. There is an expectation of dew here, they were working overtime before the game with the spray that's supposed to move dew off the grass into the ground.
Matheesha Pathirana is a little full to Quinton de Kock and drives him straight down the ground for four. The slingy Sri Lankan seamer is a little loose in the rest of the over but gets away with it.

You know it’s hot when the posh seats have their own fans…
I've not seen this before.
As the drinks were brought out, two of South Africa's substitute fielders brought a couple of chairs with them. Presumably for Rassie van der Dussen and Quinton de Kock to sit on.
Four singles off Dasun Shanaka's over as we get to drinks. Rassie van der Dussen is unbeaten on 42 while Quinton de Kock is not out on 33.

Batters will look at video of Pathirana's action to try and work it out. But there's nothing quite like actually facing it.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni said some nice things about Matheesha Pathirana in the IPL after the Sri Lankan was drafted in by Chennai Super Kings after injuries.
He certainly looks to have a bit of X-factor about his bowling albeit at 20 still a little raw.
There are a couple of loose deliveries in his second over and Rassie van der Dussen flicks a ball down through fine leg for another four.

They were inviting it with the field up, it was a bit of a risk. De Kock plays that shot so well.
Off-spinner Dhananjaya de Silva is much better in his second over, but Quinton de Kock reverse sweeps his final delivery for four.
De Kock has played fairly patiently so far today, but there has been the odd moment when he's got one in the slot and cashed in.
Here's the only six of innings so far today.

We know that pace has worked for Sri Lanka. The spin for Dhananjaya de Silva was expensive in his first over. It's time for him to get into his spell. But because the seam has been so impressive for Sri Lanka, you feel South Africa will target the spinners.
Matheesha Pathirana into the attack for Sri Lanka.
He has a slingy action reminiscent of Lasith Malinga and Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen are both happy to knock him into the gaps as they become accustomed to his unusual bowling style.
Unlike Malinga, though, his hair cut is much more sensible.

Great shot from Rassie van der Dussen. He plays stood upright, knocking the ball over the top for six.
Spin for the first time today as Dhananjaya de Silva is brought into the attack
Rassie van der Dussen shows his intent early as he shuffles down the pitch and confidently biffs the off-spinner back over his head and into the stands for six.
Van der Dussen backs that up with two more fours via a thick-ish edge through third and a punch through the covers.

I didn’t expect to find a football ground behind the unusual-looking stand at one end. TMS kickabout afterwards? Finny is the target man. Aggers dictating play in the middle.
This has been a handy opening spell from left-arm seamer Dilshan Madushanka, but he's running out of steam a little now. His fourth delivery to Quinton de Kock is short, wide and a little wild.
He manages to get through the remainder of the over without much damage, though.
Sri Lanka coach Chris Silverwood, sitting in the air conditioned dressing room, looks fairly content with his side's efforts in the field thus far.

It was going to happen at some stage, Quinton de Kock has been quite bogged down. Slightly back of a length, we know the fuller ball has been working for Sri Lanka so he was onto this one as quick as a flash.
Bang! Quinton de Kock picks up the length of a short ball from Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka and heaves it over the boundary with a demonstrative pull shot for six.
Here's a few of those lovely drives from Quinton de Kock through the covers from a little earlier. Sri Lanka have tied things up a little since then, though.
