The next ball Asalanka plonks does get hold of it and plonks a six on top of an ambulance over the boundary. That was a big 'un.

It was really well taken from Klaasen. It was a very rapid bit of glovework. The ball turned a bit.

This pitch is good. The moment you hit it, it's just flying.

I love to see a team come out and give it a red hot go. It's always a shame to see a team go out with a whimper and go into their next game with no confidence.

Here's how Kusal Mendis' brilliant knock was brought to and end.

But alas, Sadeera Samarawickrama is also on his way to the pavilion as Gerald Coetzee strikes with his second ball.

The Sri Lanka batter was attempting to work it and gets a lead edge, but Marco Jansen still has plenty to do at mid-on. He is able slide on his knees and get underneath it to pouch the catch.

    Coetzee roars in celebration.

Wonderful strokeplay from Mendis, he started with a couple of crisp drives down the ground like Markram before he started lifting the ball into the stands.

That might be the longest I’ve seen a batter wait at the crease before dragging himself off. Kusal Mendis is gutted. A sensational knock.
