What a flick for six that is! It was no more than a flick of the wrists. How can he do that?

There is just no stopping Rohit Sharma!

He hits back-to-back fours before almost lazily powering the ball over mid-wicket for six.

Rashid Khan gets into a huddle with a couple of his team-mates to try and come up with a plan to stem the flow. But I'm not sure there is anything they can do.

What I have seen so far from Rohit Sharma and co is so good because it just lights up the World Cup. They are doing it without trying to hit it too hard too.

India may finish at a canter by just playing cricket shots.

  6. Ind 178-1published at 22 overs

More aggression from Rohit Sharma as he charges Naveen-ul-Haq and lofts the ball over mid-off for four. His 17th boundary of the innings.

Here is the only wicket to fall so far this innings as Rashid Khan removed Ishan Kishan for 47.

  9. Ind 173-1published at 21 overs

We saw the best of Virat Kohli there as he plays a lovely wristy cross-batted drive through the covers for four. That absolutely raced to the boundary.

You wonder just how many India would have scored had they batted first in this match.

What I would say, in the changing room you would discuss who to sledge and try and put off their game, but Virat Kohli is not one of them. It will galvanise him. We could see the best of him if he's in battle.

He is the magic moment Rohit Sharma reached his century and made World Cup history to boot.

  12. Ind 164-1published at 20 overs

Whatever Rohit Sharma touches turns to runs. This time it is a perfectly timed drive through the covers for four.

A single then brings Virat Kohli on strike to renew his feud with Naveen-ul-Haq.

Naveen lures Kohli forward into a drive that finds the edge but fizzes through the vacant gully region and Kohli pinches a single.

I love that the skipper has brought Naveen-ul-Haq back on as soon as Virat Kohli comes in. Play up to the narrative.

The pair had a heated exchange during the IPL earlier in the year.

  14. Ind 158-1published at 19 overs

The crowd absolutely erupts as Virat Kohli strides out to the middle. You sense this is the moment they have been waiting for all day.

This might turn out to be the perfect day for the crowd. You get to see enough of Virat Kohli but they've been a brilliant opening stand.

That was a simple catch. Was Rashid Khan brought on a little late?

This will be a great time for the crowd with the local boy, Virat Kohli, coming in.

    Kishan c Ibrahim b Rashid 47 (Ind 156-1)

Breakthrough for Afghanistan - but too little too late.

Ishan Kishan looks to play the ball into the on-side but catches a leading edge and loops up to Ibrahim Zadran for a simple catch.

Kishan departs three runs short of a half-century.

It has been brilliant batting. India should be looking to knock these off without loss and get into a real positive position net run-rate wise.

India are trying to do this in a hurry now.

  20. Ind 154-0published at 18 overs

Ishan Kishan helps himself to another six as the onslaught continues.

They need just 119 more runs from the remaining 32 overs.

Somehow I don't think they will need their full allocation.
