  1. NZ 257-4published at 39 overs

    Target 398

A four each to Phillips and Mitchell helps New Zealand take 10 from the over, but even that's not enough.

Need a big over of 20 plus to get themselves a bit of a boost, but which bowler are they going to be able to do that to?

Mitchell then gets a life as Jadeja's throw misses the stumps with him at least a metre short.

    It's very frantic out there.

We were all incredulous at Mohammed Shami's drop of Williamson. It looked like it was going to go down as one of those moments that we speak about for a long time.

Instead, all it did was fire him up to take two wickets in an over.

This is India's game now. They're in more control than they were 45 minutes ago.

Sweat is falling rather heavily from Daryl Mitchell's helmet as he takes guard.

    Lovely.

That will bring some smiles back to New Zealand.

Hit clean as a whistle by Daryl Mitchell. What a player.

Daryl Mitchell looks tired and that is why Glenn Phillips need to take over for a while.

He is a pocket rocket, he's a powerhouse but he needs to find his range quickly.

A Daryl Mitchell straight six is a thing of beauty.

New Zealand are, understandably, starting to panic a bit.

This is intelligent execution of a well-thought-out plan from Mohammed Siraj.

  10. NZ 236-4published at 37 overs

Very, very good from Mohammed Siraj.

With a clear plan of bowling wide of off stump, he executes almost perfectly - with one wide in there - and just five runs come from the over.

  11. NZ 231-4published at 36.2 overs

The run rate is now above 12.

It was always ambitious but it now feels like New Zealand's hopes are dwindling away.

This is where India’s tactic of having an all Indian crowd is a hindrance. It's fine when everything is going well but you need the opposition fans to keep you honest when under pressure.

Just a little bit of width from Jadeja, off the toe-end of the bat but Rohit is on the march with a slip in place so there was a big gap behind square.

Eventually, Ravindra Jadeja is able to complete his over.

Glenn Phillips takes his first boundary, threading one beautifully past point. With bat in hand, he is capable of special things.

But it's going to take a bit more than special today. It's going to take a work of genius.

It's not easy but if New Zealand can just hang in there and built a partnership, it is a venue where the ball can disappear all over the place.

  16. NZ 225-4published at 35.2 overs

Daryl Mitchell, unbeaten on 104, gets some treatment for cramp after Glenn Phillips calls him through for a quick single.

Just do it in sixes, Daryl. Glenn Maxwell did. It's no biggie.

  17. NZ 225-4published at 35.1 overs

    Target 398

Cheers, Tim. Feel like I may have jinxed New Zealand somewhat by declaring my bold prediction to my colleagues that they would win this in the last over.

Mohammed Shami has well and truly trampled all over my (hopeful) statement.

Is this going to be a Glenn Maxwell-esque knock from Daryl Mitchell? A big ask for New Zealand to chase this down from here.

My colleague Ffion Wynne will summon up all the energy she can muster to talk you through until the end of this one.

Stick with us. It could be a thriller...

  19. NZ 224-4published at 35 overs

A fresh air shot from Daryl Mitchell as he swings and misses at Mohammed Shami.

The ball shaves a coat of paint off the top of the bail on its way through to KL Rahul. Those two wickets from Mohammed Shami have put the brakes on the Kiwis.

Here's the best of Mitchell's century, for your viewing pleasure.

Daryl Mitchell is limping. He is not comfortable at all.

We've seen this a lot in this World Cup. These are difficult, challenging conditions.
