It's definitely a very good game. The difficulty is South Africa have made their own supporters, and neutrals possibly, believe they can do it. Which makes it very difficult to take when it doesn't happen.

    Cheers, Stephan.

Smith and Inglis are looking pretty settled. South Africa need to sneak another pretty soon.

Here's the risk. The extra pace makes is easier to score and Inglis deflects a short one past firs slip for four. Australia need 51 to win and Ffion Wynne is here to find out who will make the World Cup final.

You can feel the tension here. Everyone has been gripped by the game and it's about who can seize the momentum now.

Oh, interesting. Paceman Gerald Coetzee is back.

These games where the bowler has a say and the pitches are not featherbeds are so much better to watch.

  7. Aus 156-5published at 29 overs

    Target 213

Shamsi and Maharaj have two overs apiece left. Australia can't wait to see the back of them.

Smith did commit to start with and Inglis did well to get back into his ground. Nerves, I think.

Could have been a run out! Inglis runs, Smith doesn't. Inglis has to turn and dive to get back.

Matt: When everyone else is panicking. Steve Smith isn't.

  11. Aus 155-5published at 28 overs

    Target 213

Less than 50 to win would be a big barrier for Australia to get over. It will feel like it comes down quickly from there.

These two batters have given an essence of calm over the last couple of overs. The Australia dugout is certainly looking a lot more relaxed than it was 15 minutes ago.

Boundary. An endangered species. Shamsi punched off the back foot by Inglis.

Australia could just play out these spinners. They could easily just knock it about and get singles to reach the total.

  15. Aus 150-5published at 27 overs

    Target 213

Australia look happy to see off the spinners, take whatever is on offer. South Africa will be thinking that one more wicket has them into the bowlers. For the moment, it feels a lot calmer out there.

Smith looks very calm out there, he's got a very clear game plan.

Steve Smith is a reassuring sight out there for Australia. He's just ticking it over.

  18. Aus 146-5published at 26 overs

Inglis drives at a wider one from Shamsi, fraught with danger against the spin. Smith clips up to long on for one more. He's a calming presence for the Aussies right now. South Africa, remember, have never won a World Cup semi-final in four attempts. Twice they have been beaten by Australia.

It's almost like a Test match this. Australia should get there, it's just up to South Africa to bowl them out before they do.

  20. Aus 141-5published at 25 overs

    Target 213

It's gripping stuff. South Africa have eight overs of the frontline spinners after this one, plus some Markram. The win predictor still has Australia at 73%. Is that a bit generous? Steve Smith is a spectator at the moment.
