If you fancy delving a little deeper into Tyrone's frankly bizarre relative underachievement in the Ulster Club Football Championship as well as the All-Ireland series, can I direct you to a fine piece that we pulled together in advance of last weekend's postponement.

It includes the thoughts of Peter 'the Great' Canavan himself who helped the Ballygawley outfit lift provincial honours in 1993 and 2002 but missed on playing in an All-Ireland Club decider by dint of Nemo Rangers' semi-final wins over the Tyrone men.

Dr Crokes v Errigal Ciaran (15:00 BST)

Derry outfit Ballinderry were scheduled to face Crossmolina in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Final at Croke Park on Sunday but that game was postponed following what was described as a "tragic event" connected with the Mayo club.

In a statement, Crossmolina said they were "devastated at the news of the tragic incident that has occurred".

"We have been in contact with our members involved, and they have requested that we all understand their need for privacy at this incredibly difficult time," added the Mayo club.

Ballinderry said: "Our thoughts are with the Crossmolina community, and all impacted at this time."

The GAA said it would confirm a new date for the game "in due course".

  11. Errigal Ciaran reaching final would be 'huge'published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

Dr Crokes v Errigal Ciaran (15:00 BST)

Errigal Ciaran boss Enda McGinley says becoming the first Tyrone team to reach an All-Ireland Senior Club Final by beating Dr Crokes at Newbridge on Saturday (15:00 GMT) would be "huge" for the Ballygawley outfit.

For a county that's won four Sam Maguire Cup titles in addition to regular underage success and whose clubs have reached five All-Ireland intermediate deciders and six junior finals, it's remarkable to think a Red Hand outfit has never progressed to the final two in the battle for Andy Merrigan Cup.

It's something three-time Tyrone All-Ireland medallist McGinley admits he is keenly aware of.

"It just feels too good to be true to imagining yourself in an All-Ireland Final. What's rare is beautiful as they say," the Errigal Ciaran boss told BBC Sport NI.

"No Tyrone Club has made the All-Ireland Final and as you're well aware, Tyrone people are very proud of our club football. We've done well at the intermediate and junior ranks but it's a huge opportunity."

Errigal Ciaran will start as selected.

Dr Crokes v Errigal Ciaran (15:00 GMT)

A place in the All-Ireland senior club final in eight days' time at Croke Park awaits.

Enda McGinley is able to call on the same team which clinched the Ulster title against Kilcoo last month.

Unexpected match winner Peter Og McCartan starts at wing-back while the formidable midfield pairing of Ben McDonnell and Joe Oguz wear eight and nine respectively.

The forward line for Errigal is one of the best in the country with the Canavan brothers Ruairi and Darragh playing alongside their brother-in-law Peter Harte.

Crokes have plenty of talent of their own and Pat O'Shea can call upon county man Gavin White at six while his Kerry team-mates Micheal Burns and Tony Brosnan are named in the attack.

Kieran O'Leary is listed on the substitutes and has made a huge contribution when called upon this campaign.

If there are any late changes closer to throw in we'll bring them to you.

Dr Crokes: Shane Murphy; Evan Looney, Fionn Fitzgerald, David Naughton; Charlie Keating, Gavin White, Brian Looney; Mark O'Shea, Michael Potts; Micheal Burns, Gavin O'Shea, Tom Doyle; Tony Brosnan, David Shaw, Cian McMahon.

Errigal Ciaran: Darragh McAnenly; Cormac Quinn, Aidan McCrory, Ciaran Quinn; Tiarnan Colhoun, Niall Kelly, Peter Og McCartan; Ben McDonnell, Joe Oguz; Peter Harte, Ruairi Canavan, Ciaran McGinley; Tommy Canavan, Darragh Canavan, Odhran Robinson.

  14. Take two and actionpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

Dr Crokes v Errigal Ciaran (15:00 GMT)

Welcome to St Conleth's Park here in Newbridge, county Kildare for the eagerly anticipated All-Ireland senior club football championship semi-final between the Tyrone and Ulster champions and the Kerry and Munster winners Dr Crokes.

This game was scheduled to take place in O'Moore Park Portlaoise last Sunday but the snow and ice forced a postponement pushing us back to today.

Errigal Ciaran come into the game off the back of their third ever Ulster title and remain the sole Tyrone club to win the senior provincial title, aiming to become the first Red Hand club to reach the All-Ireland senior football club final.

Both of Errigal's previous semi-final appearances were ended by Munster opposition (Nemo Rangers twice, one of those defeats coming here in Newbridge) they'll be hoping it's third time lucky today.

Dr Crokes were comfortable in their march through Munster and can call upon county quality in the likes of Gavin White, Tony Brosnan and Micheál Burns.

Errigal Ciaran are spearheaded by the Canavan brothers Darragh and Ruairi with the latter, if anything, outshining his Tyrone regular sibling in the Ballygawley outfit's march through county and province.

Throw in here is 3pm and the match referee will be Brendan Cawley of Kildare.
