Ella Toone's goal against West Brom was her first since the 2024 Women's FA Cup final.

Ella Toone scored on her return from injury as Manchester United thrashed West Bromwich Albion to reach the fifth round of the Women's FA Cup on Saturday.

The England international was named on the bench for the holders at Leigh Sports Village, having been out with a calf injury since November.

Toone joined the fray with the Reds 1-0 up against their tier-three counterparts, thanks to Melvine Malard's early finish.

After Rachel Williams grabbed a brace of headers, Toone curled the ball delightfully into the top corner in the 83rd minute, turning the comfortable victory into a rout.

Williams completed her hat-trick, while Celin Bizet added another two for the hosts as Marc Skinner's side cruised into the next round.
