    Michael van Gerwen 5-10 Raymond van Barneveld

    Barney, with two match darts, makes easy work of beating MVG in the final leg to put his first win on the board of the 2017 Champions League of Darts.

    He tops group A going into the evening session.

    MVG meanwhile, just hasn't looked up for it. His body language says it all.

    He's thrown just five of his 16 checkouts and it's not been the greatest afternoon for him.

    MVG misses a 62 checkout on double 16, leaving Barney to clean up with a simple double tops.

    Barney's just a leg from victory. Surely this is all over!

    Again, not to be outdone by Barney throwing his seventh 180 of the match, MVG throws his own and punishes his compatriot for missing double 16 by dispatching double 2 with ease.

    Right after clinching his sixth maximum of the match, Barney checks out 130 with a bullseye finish to move within two legs of victory against MVG.

    He takes out 12 with an easy double six to pull it back again.
