    Marie-Josee Ta Lou wins it with Kyra Jefferson second, while Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith continues her good progress in her recovery after a broken foot earlier in 2017 with a season's best of 22.89 seconds to take third place.

    Fellow Briton Finette Agyapong came fifth in 23.22.

    Diamond League: Women's 200m

    Two Brits are in the next race in Monaco, with Dina Asher-Smith, who missed the start of the season with a foot injury, and Finette Agyapong go up against a line-up including American Kyra Jefferson and Marie-Josee Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast. who came fourth in this race at the 2016 Olympics.

    South Africa's Olympic champion Caster Semenya has a fight on her hands, but takes the victory in the 800m in a rapid time of one minute 55.27, the fastest time from anyone in 2017.

    It is a good performance from Great Britain's Lynsey Sharp, who comes sixth and her time of 1.58.01 is her best of the year.

    Diamond League: Women's 800m (next)

    Up next in Monaco, is Great Britain's Lynsey Sharp in the 800m, with her opponents including South Africa’s two-time Olympic and world champion, Caster Semenya.

    Sharp, the 2014 European champion, has a 2017 best of 1:58.80 this year and finished seventh and fourth in recent Diamond League events in Lausanne and London, respectively.

    Also in the field is world indoor champion Francine Niyonsaba of Burundi.

    Olympic champion Wayde van Niekerk of South Africa gets a confidence-building victory before next month's World Championships in London.

    He had to work hard though in Monaco as he was pushed all the way by Botswana's Isaac Makwala, before Van Niekerk takes the victory by 0.11 seconds.

    Diamond League: Men's 1500m

    Great Britain's Chris O'Hare has just set a new personal best, and a Scottish record, in the 1500m in Monaco.

    His time of three minutes 33.61 seconds was good enough for him to finish seventh in a race won by Kenya's Elijah Manangoi in a time of 3.28.80, the best from any athlete in 2017.

    Diamond League: Women's 400m hurdles

    Over in Monaco, we have already seen Great Britain's Eilidh Doyle in action in the women's 400m hurdles and she finished fourth in a high-quality field, with American Kori Carter taking the victory in 53.36 seconds, while Doyle's time was 54.75.

    World Para-athletics Championships - day eight

    Each athletics event is given a code, made up of one letter and two numbers, which is called a classification. It tells you more about the type of disability the athletes in that event have.

    • The first letter will either be T or F: T is for track (running and jumping events) and F is for field (throwing events).
    • The first number, from 1 to 5, tells you the impairment type: 1. Visual impairment 2. Intellectual impairment 3. Co-ordination impairment 4. Limb deficiencies and short stature 5. Impaired muscle power or range of movement.
    • The second number ranges from 1 to 8 and designates the level of impairment, with 1 being the most impaired.

    World Para-athletics Championships - Hannah Cockroft wins 400m T34 (on Thursday)

    The other British gold medallist yesterday was Hannah Cockroft, as she completed her treble of golds here with victory in the women's T34 400m, adding to her 100m and 800m successes earlier in the championships.

    Watch an interview with the 24-year-old as she says she will continue to compete after winning her 10th world title and believes that she can "go faster".

    Straight into the action...

    At the London Stadium, we've just had a re-run of the T54 800m final from Tuesday night. GB's Richard Chiassaro crashed in the initial final and took out a couple of other racers. Chiassaro was disqualified, but the a re-run was ordered.

    Justice has prevailed, though, with the original winner Marcel Hug of Switzerland coming home first once again.

    Thursday was a great day for Great Britain at the World Para-athletics Championships with seven medals won inside an hour, including two gold medals.
