Jack, Newcastle: Cannot wait for Mexico v Croatia now. Big game.

Lee, Gloucestershire: Brazil haven't been convincing but they've still created plenty of chances! It's only 0-0 because of the heroics of the Mexico keeper! Any other day and this could have been a comfortable win.

Cliffy: Why do people talk about Brazil with such reverence? From what I've seen they are distinctly average with some prima donnas! Suspect that when a decent team gets hold of them they will be found wanting.

Well that was all a bit disappointing in the end wasn't it?

Brazil were flat and uninspired, the pressure of being hosts may have got to them a bit. They next face Cameroon on Monday night and a point should see them through.

We're not done for the night though. Come and join us for the big one - Russia v South Korea...

"Brazil played against a good Mexico side. On several occasions Guillermo Ochoa showed lightning quick reactions, as a single individual he was definitely man of the match. It's not the end of the world for Brazil, they created good chances.

"The real disappointment for me was Fred. The comer flag moved better than he did, Jo was much better. We shouldn't judge him just on what he did in England with Manchester City. But Fred is one of those players who can come back."

Squawkthetalk:, external The World Cup is great at making heroes & villains-we've had a few already-but what a heroic performance from Mexico keeper Ochoa.

Nick Briggs:, external I have watched Brazil twice now and they do not look like World Cup winners.

"I still see Brazil looking quite tense, in their thought in their movement. I really hope Scolari will put some more quality players in. Paulinho is very disappointing defensively and offensively."

"The players leave the field at the end of a breathless 90 minutes but it is those in the red of Mexico that hold their heads up high. They more than deserved that draw and for long periods out thought and out-fought their more celebrated rivals.

"This is a result that once again highlighted Brazil's reliance on the brilliance of Neymar and the craft of Oscar. At this stage, they simply don't look like a team that can compete with the very best. Over to Luiz Felipe Scolari."

"The World Cup isn't how you start it is how you finish. I still think they will go through but this game shows how difficult it is to win the tournament."

"What a great 0-0. The man of the match for me was Guillermo Ochoa, but Mexico had a number of good performers.

"They set the tone from the first whistle, for the first 20 minutes it was all Mexico but every time they were pushed back they had a go themselves. Brazil took off Fred, brought on Jo and Ochoa had to come up huge but Mexico weathered the storm and saw the game out."

"Four points from both these teams after two games, but Mexico will be the happier side. Brazil might be a little worried but I think Luiz Scolari has to go straight to the press conference and say: what are you going to do? Their GK was man of the match'.

"One of the all-time great World Cup performances from Ochoa, the save from Neymar's header in the first half just gets better every time. He's gone all the way around the ground saluting the Mexico supporters and they are loving him."

    Alan Shearer
    Former England striker on MOTD

"Frustrating for Brazil - and their fans. They didn't move the ball quick enough throughout and there was not enough movement off the ball. It was a poor performance from Brazil. Mexico deserved the point.

"The Mexicans asked a question to Brazil - 'can you break us down?' And they couldn't do it. They didn't have enough ability, or urgency, on the day."

"Another one just over the bar from Mexico - that is probably five that Julio Cesar has seen just over his bar. Those cross-shots are very difficult for a goalkeeper.

"Marcelo went down but the Mexico defender never touched him, you have got to book Marcelo there. It should be a yellow card for a dive. It was almost worse than Fred's dive against Croatia."
