"Colombia have to look after the ball better, they have got to break quicker and in greater numbers. But the referee has basically given Brazil licence to go out to foul and obstruct Colombia. Until we see a yellow card this will be a very stop- start game."
Colombia make a switch - it's Adrian Ramos on for Victor Ibarbo. Ibarbo was playing in a front three but he was ineffective and they will now go 4-4-2.
Luiz Felipe Scolari is deep in conversation with David Luiz as the players emerge from the tunnel. The words 'stay', 'back' and 'defence' may have been spoken.
Hulk has had 13 shots in the tournament now, the most of any player who has not scored so far. He looks dangerous but lacks that composure.
As our man said earlier, he's the Happy Gilmore of the penalty area. All power, no finesse.
Bernard Akinyamoju: , external"That was a decent half of football, lenient referee encouraging tough tackles!"
Dave McPhee:, external "Fernandinho would have three yellow cards by now if Graham Poll was refereeing."
Richard Langton:, external "It seems Fifa have decided that Brazil are going to win the World Cup."

"Brazil will be disappointed not to have scored a second. They have been on the front foot from the beginning, they've been sharp and got stuck in all over the pitch. But when you're on top the last thing you need is half-time.
"Now Jose Pekerman the Colombia manager has an opportunity to change things. In that first half Colombia did not really threaten, apart from the half-chance on the break. They've shown Brazil far too much respect."

South American football expert Tim Vickery: "That first half was Colombia's worst nightmare, their defensive line was very deep which means there has been plenty of space for Brazil's players to turn and run.
"Brazil have looked better balanced with Maicon at right-back, he has kept wide, which has allowed Oscar to tuck in a little more.
"But they have not finished off the job yet - Brazil looked in control against Chile but once they conceded the equaliser they deflated like a popped balloon."
Referee Carlos Carballo was certainly very lenient in that first half. There could have been three or four bookings dished out, but not one was handed out. Let it flow, let it flow...
Raj from Wolverhampton, via text: "Wow, Neymar didn't waste any time swapping his shirt at the half time whistle. Surely he should be more focused on the game?!"
Rob from Newbury, via text: "So the masterplan is to give Brazil every possible dodgy decision, let Brazil ignore the rules about being back at free kicks, and allow them to hack at Rodriguez. The only way to get a fair winner of the cup is for Brazil to go out."
Gareth from Manchester, via text: "I don't like this Brazil team but I hope they win Brazil v Germany will be one hell of a game."
BBC Sport Chief Football Writer Phil McNulty in Fortaleza
"Those watching the game need the half-time break as much as Brazil and Colombia's players. Breathless stuff and often with all plans and formations set to one side in a frenetic World Cup quarter-final. Hulk outstanding for Brazil while Colombia need to get James Rodriguez, who is getting the physical treatment from Brazil's defenders, into the game more."
Richard Harrison:, external "Good half. Colombia need to change something in the break to make a go of it in second half."
Rishi Verma:, external "Why do I get the feeling the referee is 'playing' the occasion and not the game? Too lenient on many a Brazilian challenge."
Paddy Emmerson:, external "Why have people been saying Brazil aren't that good. Doing well considering they play with 10 men whenever Fred plays."

They have played with a hint of desperation at times, and the occasion may have gone to their heads. But Colombia are not out of this.
A bit of composure, a bit of calm and they'll be right back in it.
One of the Colombians takes Neymar's shirt at half-time, and Pablo Armero then bags Hulk's too.
Have a word Mario Yepes! That's not cricket. It's not Gary Pallister's testimonial. This is a World Cup quarter-final!
Is that the best we've seen from Brazil so far? You bet.
Happy Gilmore - I like it! He needs to learn to tap it in though. Tap, tap taparoo Hulk. Go home ball!
Neymar bullies him off a free-kick and puts it over. Almost half-time of a classic quarter-final so far.
Jamie Baker: , external"Hulk is the footballing equivalent of Happy Gilmore- grip it and rip it!"
Adam Palmer:, external "I liked the magic foam at first but there's been a few times players have gone past it and the ref's done nothing."
John Finn:, external "This Brazil match is insane. They're going to run out of legs by half time at this rate!"

"Colombia are struggling with the running power of Paulinho, Hulk and Neymar. When they run at the defence they cannot cope. They have to get tighter to players and stop them from turning.
"Colombia have got to get into half-time still 1-0 down, so Jose Pekerman can maybe make a few changes and calm his players down. They are still in this game. Brazil are on top but it is only 1-0."
Andrew, via text: "I don't know who's better out of the European teams vs the Americas but I know who I'd rather watch. Fantastic stuff."
Richard in Felixstowe, via text: "Great game. Much better than the first game."
He is also the first captain to score for Brazil in a World Cup game in 20 years, since Rai in the 1994 tournament.
