  8. France v Germany (17:00 BST, Friday)published at 15:28 British Summer Time 3 July 2014

While Germany's luck may appear to be out, France are currently on the right side of fortune.

They are the first team to benefit from two own goals in the same World Cup as a result of inadvertent strikes by Nigeria's Joseph Yobo and Noel Valladares of Honudras.

Les Bleus have however hit the woodwork six times in the tournament which is the highest tally for a team since Poland and Argentina in 1982 (both 6).

"As a result, it's too early to make any final decisions about the line-up," Low added.

Defender Mat Hummels missed Germany's round of 16 match against Algeria on Monday due to a fever and has suffered a "negative setback" since, according to his manager.

"It is also remembered for a brutal challenge by German goalkeeper Toni Schumacher on Patrick Battiston that left the Frenchman requiring emergency oxygen and hospitalisation with severe concussion. Schumacher was not punished and went on to save two penalties in the shootout."

"Scolari is attempting to say he knew this leak would come out and that it was just mind games to gee his players up. Others claim he is furious that someone has betrayed he trust."

Germany and their striker Miroslav Klose will be aiming to create a little bit of World Cup history on Friday.
