Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's goal-scoring prolifics got me thinking about who I would want to lead the attack for my side. So I thought I'd get your grey matter working too.

If you could choose one striker in the history of European football who would you plump for? Let me know via #bbceurofooty or post on BBC Sport Facebook.

Me? I would go for former Bristol City and West Brom striker 'Super Bob Taylor' but, hailing from the West Country, I'm probably a little bit biased.

After a goalless first half, Juventus claim a 2-0 win at Empoli to move three points clear at the top of Serie A.

Andrea Pirlo and Alvaro Morata are the goalscorers, although Carlos Tevez had a very impressive 22-minute cameo coming off the bench after starting as a substitute.

In injury-time, Tevez was about to burst through the Empoli defence before he was cynically chopped down by Lorenzo Tonelli, who was sent off.
