Ramires is Mr. Reliable for Chelsea. A first pick for games like this, not as much of a match-winner as Juan Cuadrado or Willian, but he won't switch off and will track his man all day long.

I say he's not a match-winner, that goal at the Nou Camp was pretty decent...

  3. 'PSG the most aggressive team'published at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

As ever, when Chelsea are on the eve of a big game, their manager likes to throw in some choice pre-match chat.

Mourinho's discussion topic of choice on Tuesday was to call PSG an aggressive side who basically hacked Eden Hazard around the park.

"This season we have played teams from the Championship, League One and League Two, but the most aggressive team was PSG. For a team with so much quality I expected more football," Mourinho said.

"I thought a team from England would never be surprised by aggression, because aggression is in our country.

"A team with fantastic players was the team making foul after the foul. [PSG] were the team that stopped Eden Hazard with fouls all the time, the team that was attacking the man in possession of the ball with two or three players very aggressively.

"If to dominate is the number of chances created, yes Paris had more chances than us. If dominating means stopping your opponent from playing, making foul after foul, yes they also dominated."

What's he up to I wonder...?

  6. 'Zlatan is the key'published at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Former Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City midfielder Ali Benarbia on BBC World Service: "Chelsea will not beat PSG. I saw how Zlatan Ibrahimovic won all the duels against Gary Cahill and John Terry in the first game.

"I've seen other Chelsea matches and every time Cahill and Terry are stronger than all other strikers in physical duel but against Zlatan Ibrahimovic he won all the balls and the headers. Every time Cahill or Terry challenged him, he pushed them away too easily. Zlatan isn't the key man for PSG in every game but in this game at Stamford Bridge he will make the key man.

"Remember last year he didn't play in the second game at Stamford Bridge. He will make the difference in this game because he hasn't had too many chances in the Champions League and he wants to go to the semi-finals this year and maybe further. Chelsea will win the Premier League this season but not the Champions League."

  7. The Zlatan myth?published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2015

Zlatan Ibrahimovic against English clubs? Played 17, won two and scored just three. He has never scored against a side managed by Jose Mourinho...

One of the best players in the world? Or a myth who goes missing in big games?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has the capacity to divide opinion in the footballing world. His talent is without question, but the stats do tend to suggest that he fails to do it when it really matters.

PSG's Swede has 44 Champions League goals, but while he has 36 in 73 games in the group stages, he has only managed seven in 34 Champions League knockout games (one every 4.9 games).

Chelsea are a potent threat from set-pieces, while PSG ship them for fun. A corner, a free-kick, a penalty could settle this tie for the hosts.

Branislav Ivanovic's goal in the first leg of course came, predictably, from a set-piece.

There's one game in the Football League tonight and it's a big one - regionally speaking, at least. The Per Frandsen derby, the Nathan Blake derby, the El Hadji Diouf derby - Blackburn v Bolton.

Blackburn will move up to 10th in the Championship with just a point, but their chances of a late play-off push look slim to say the least. Even their second victory in eight attempts against the Trotters will leave them 11 points adrift with 10 matches left.

Bolton, however, need a victory to dispel any lingering relegation fears. A first Championship away win since 17 January will lift Neil Lennon's men up to 16th, and 13 points clear of the bottom three.

Fernando Morientes is the last player to score for a French club at Stamford Bridge, it was in the 2003-04 semi-final between Chelsea and Monaco.

I was at an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet in Preston that night. Weird the things you remember thanks to football eh?

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

"It's all square after a 1-1 draw in Paris. The feeling was that PSG coach Laurent Blanc did not know whether to stick or twist last season, whether to protect a 3-1 lead or push on for more goals.

"No lead to protect tonight, but plenty of optimism in the shape of thousands of noisy PSG fans already packed into Stamford Bridge."
