Delighted Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew punches the chilly East London air as referee Mike Dean calls time on an action-packed second half.

And Pardew deserves to look happy with himself. That's 13 points from a possible 21 as the Eagles soar towards safety.

Palace keeper Julian Speroni gathers a long ball pumped upfield from his opposite number Adrian. The Argentine clings to the ball like a crying baby holding their favourite teddy bear. He doesn't want to give it up as the clock ticks down towards a precious Palace win.

Anywhere will do for Palace. Visiting full-back Martin Kelly pumps a bouncing ball high into the stand to waste a few more precious moments. Palace almost home...

Five minutes of stoppage time. That's five minutes for West Ham to nab two goals.

  5. Postpublished at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2015

Last minute of the allotted 90. West Ham probe for an opening, but can't find a way through. Palace's 10 men look solid.

"Wonderful save. There wasn't much on but Enner Valencia turned and hit the ball with real power from distance. It was dipping in but Julian Speroni makes a wonderful save to turn the ball round. The home side are beginning to show some reaction now but it took them going 3-0 down and Glenn Murray being sent off for them to wake up."

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:29 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2015

What a save! Palace keeper Julian Speroni may just have won his team three points here. Hammers striker Enner Valencia unleashes a ferocious effort from outside the area, but Speroni flies across his goal to pluck the ball out of the top corner. If that had sailed in then an equalising Hammers goal will have been firmly on the cards.

If West Ham can bag another in the next few minutes then we're set for a barnstorming finish. A swarm of claret and blue shirts buzz around the Palace half, but the final ball is too strong. Top scorer Diafra Sakho leaps in vain, but can't guide the ball towards the net.

"West Ham are having joy getting the ball out wide. Crystal Palace are very strong in central areas but down their left-hand side particularly they're struggling. Joe Ledley has come on in that position and from here it is all about defending for Palace. When Diafra Sakho headed over (79 mins), a better ball from Carl Jenkinson there and it could have been 3-2."

  11. Postpublished at 14:25 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2015

This match has turned into a training ground game of 'attack versus defence'. West Ham are camped in the Palace half as the 10 men sit back and try to repel the waves of home attacks. Two more chances go begging for the Hammers, Palace keeper Julian Speroni smothering Carl Jenkinson's close-range effort before Stewart Downing finds the side-netting with a low shot.

Newcastle boss John Carver makes four changes after the 5-0 thrashing by Manchester City. Midfielders Gabriel Obertan, Mehdi Abeid and Sammy Ameobi plus forward Emmanuel Riviere are recalled with Jack Colback, Vurnon Anita, Yoan Gouffran and Ayoze Perez making way. Jonas Gutierrez is on the bench.

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood also make four changes. Defenders Jores Okore and Matthew Lowton, as well as midfielders Tom Cleverley and Ashley Westwood, replace Ron Vlaar, Kieran Richardson, Carles Gil and Carlos Sanchez.

Newcastle XI: Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, Haidara, Obertan, Sissoko, Abeid, Ameobi, Riviere, Cisse.

West Brom XI: Foster, Dawson, McAuley, Lescott, Brunt, Morrison, Yacob, Fletcher, Gardner, Ideye, Berahino.

West Ham squandered a 2-0 lead at Tottenham last weekend - surely they cannot wipe out Palace's three-goal advantage? The Hammers almost nab a second goal, as Diafra Sakho flashes a close-range header - from Carl Jenkinson's teasing right-wing cross - over the bar.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has decided against changing the side which won 2-1 at Aston Villa last Saturday, and so defender Geoff Cameron is on the bench after serving a one-match ban. Ryan Shawcross remains out with a back injury.

Hull striker Nikica Jelavic suffered a minor knee injury during training on Thursday, and so manager Steve Bruce has adjusted his front line, bringing in Sone Aluko and Gaston Ramirez. Dame N'Doye drops to the bench. Maynor Figueroa comes in for Robbie Brady.

Stoke XI: Begovic; Bardsley, Wollscheid, Wilson, Pieters; N'Zonzi, Whelan; Walters, Ireland, Moses; Diouf.

Hull XI: McGregor; Dawson, Bruce, McShane; Elmohamaday, Livermore, Huddlestone, Meyler, Figueroa; Ramirez, Aluko.

"I actually thought Julian Speroni had turned the ball round the post but it ended up in the net. Enner Valencia shifted the ball half a yard on the edge of the box after good play from Stewart Downing and got his shot away. A lifeline for West Ham."

  17. GOALpublished at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2015

Here's one of them! West Ham nick a goal back as Enner Valencia finds the bottom corner with a fierce drive. The Ecuador striker calmly rolls the ball into space with the sole of his his boot before blasting past an unsighted Palace keeper Julian Speroni from 20 yards. Game on?

  18. Postpublished at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2015

Can West Ham take advantage of Glenn Murray's dismissal? Possibly. But I'd suggest they can't take advantage three times and nick a draw. The Hammers have been woeful in the final third - now they have to break down a wall of 10 yellow shirts.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche sticks with the side that drew against Chelsea last week, so Ashley Barnes keeps his place in attack.

Swansea make one change to the side that beat Manchester United last weekend, with Tom Carroll coming in for Gylfi Sigurdsson in midfield.

Burnley XI: Heaton; Trippier, Shackell, Keane, Mee; Kightly, Arfield, Jones, Boyd; Barnes, Ings

Swansea XI: Fabianski, Taylor, Ki, Williams, Shelvey, Carroll, Routledge, Gomis, Cork, Naughton, Fernandez.

  20. Team newspublished at 14:15 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2015

Sunderland bring in defender Patrick van Aanholt, midfielder Jordi Gomez and striker Connor Wickham for Santiago Vergini, Ricky Alvarez and Danny Graham following their goalless draw with West Brom last week.
