Wales keeper Wayne Hennessey is called into action for the first time - he is forced to push away an effort from Eran Zahavi. That was the first time Israel have threatened the Wales stopper.
There are three more qualifiers currently taking place - none of them concerning teams in the same group as Wales. Latvia are holding unbeaten Group A leaders Czech Republic in Prague and it's also scoreless in Group H between Croatia and Norway in Zagreb. Robert Prosinecki's first game in charge of Azerbaijan has started well - they lead Malta 1-0 in Group H.
The stats just showed that Israel have had 54% of possession. Although I'm sure Wales will be happier with their 46%.
Israel's top scorer this campaign, Omer Damari with five goals, has not really had much of a sniff so far... but what do they say about strikers and the number of chances they need?
Not the best of shots by Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu - it drifts four feet wide from 18 yards - but the stats will show another effort by Wales.
Good tempo by Wales, clearly on top at the moment. Good time to score?
Israel have two players called Tal Ben Haim in their line-up today. We're asking if you have any stories of playing alongside a namesake. If you did, was it confusing? Let us know.
MCB Wright: Currently on a hockey festival in Bath with four out of the team called Jack.
Arran: When James Collins joined Aston Villa, he arrived at his first training session and was told he shouldn't be there - he'd been mistaken for a youth team player of the same name.
Marco Polo: Fulham had John Collins and Collins John on their books at the same time.
Nick: Ben Haim has been fantastic down at Charlton this season. Wales and Bale certainly shouldn't underestimate him.

"Israel look really suspect at the back in this first 20 minutes. They're giving Wales opportunities without them having to do anything. I feel they'll give Wales a chance tonight. It's just a case of taking one of those chances to get their noses in front."

A terrible pass from Eytan Tibi allows Wales' Gareth Bale to race on to the ball. The Real Madrid £80m man drives into the area but his shot is blocked by Tal Ben Haim I. It has been a great start by Chris Coleman's men - can they keep it up?
What. A. Miss. James Collins - hero at the other end moments ago - fails to get a good connection on Gareth Bale's teasing delivery. Collins is unmarked, just three yards out. He sort of stands on the ball and the keeper is able to smother the danger.
Wales on the attack. Aaron Ramsey has a shot blocked from inside the area. The Welsh pile on the pressure - Liverpool's Joe Allen dances around the Israel defence in the area, but before he can shoot the ball is poked away.
Alas, a disappointing corner allows Israel to clear their lines.
Wales keeper Wayne Hennessey hasn't had too much to do but is alert to come forward and pluck Bebras Natcho's high ball for Omer Damari out of the air
Israel playing a slightly dangerous game at the back by passing it around. Gareth Bale and Hal Robson-Kanu look hungry out on the pitch and are closing the defenders down at every opportunity.
Adam Smith: I played in a team with three pairs of twins. Each pair of twins had a James.
Ging Ginanjar: The Indonesian national team once had two players with the name Sunardi. Indonesia's FA listed them as Sunardi A and Sunardi B.
Ed Woodhouse: I'm pretty sure Ghana used to have John Mensah and Jonathan Mensah as a centre back pairing? Must have got confusing.
The two (unrelated) Mensahs did indeed play together at the 2010 World Cup. Have you got any tales of playing alongside a namesake? Are you a centre-half who shares a name with your striker? Get in touch - the details of how to do so are at the top of this post.

"They're not paying Bale any particular attention here, Israel. It's up to him to take advantage of that and show how important he can be for the national side tonight."

Release the Bale! The Real Madrid forward races on to a pass and drives his shot about three feet wide of keeper Ofir Marciano's left-hand upright from 18 yards. He really should have hit the target.
Danger at the other end. Tal Ben Haim II's cross from the left has to be headed away by Wales defender James Collins. There's a good tempo to this match already.

"It's three-centre-backs for Wales, which puts a big onus on the two wing-backs to get forward and support the front men down the flanks. They're showing Israel a lot of respect with this line-up but there's no need for them to be fearful. They need to believe they can come to places like this and win."

Cheeky! Arsenal wizard Aaron Ramsey cuts inside into the area before poking his effort with the outside of his foot just past the keeper's right-hand post. It's not all about Gareth Bale.
Arthur: The only name confusion I ever had was a stray dog running on to the pitch with my name. I thought someone was going mental at me for no reason!
Christopher Banks: Lined up against another Chris Banks last season - I was the goalkeeper and he set up a goal against me.
Craig: My surname is Bevis - and for one game only, played with my three brothers. Stuart was number one, Buster number two, me number three and Ken number four.
We're asking for your football namesake experiences, as Israel are lining up with two players called Tal Ben Haim.

"Wales have to show they're good enough to win one of these big away games in this group, starting with the game tonight. They've gone with a cautious line-up and they've made a decent start."
