Wayne Rooney still thinks he should have had a penalty. At the other end David De Gea doesn't make the best clearance from a high cross and Gabriel Agbonlahor sees his follow-up effort well blocked.

Juan Mata then has a shot blocked at the other end! Decent start.

The Foxes fans seem up for this and so the players. A positive start both on and off the field for the hosts as they take the game to West Ham. Not much to shout about at either end yet though.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:08 British Summer Time 4 April 2015

What a save! Tim Howard has had his critics this season but the veteran pulls off a fine stop to claw away Graziano Pelle's effort at the near post.

Shane Long had all the pace in the world down the right, his cross was met by Pelle with an improvised lobbed volley, it almost makes it but Howard recovers brilliantly to get there and make the save.

"Wayne Rooney is going ballistic at the referee and rightly so. He was just about to pull the trigger and was pulled to the floor. For me it's a red card and a clear penalty."

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has conceded it will be "very, very difficult" for Liverpool to make the top four.

"It was a game we needed to take something from," he admits. "Today is a big disappointment but we didn't defend well enough in key moments of the game."

The Reds' boss adds: "Right from the kick off we were too negative. We like to play forward but we put ourselves under the pressure and in the first 10 minutes and they had control.

"I thought after that we started to find our passes and we were the better team and created the best chances. So we were looking to go in at half time 0-0 or maybe in front - but then we defended very poorly for all three goals."

Hull start well as they look to stretch that four-point gap between themselves and the relegation zone. All the pressure with the visitors, although no clear-cut chances created as yet.

"United have started off at a good tempo already. A good start will get the crowd behind them, which will make it so much harder for Aston Villa. Tim Sherwood's side don't have a great record here but if they defend well and in numbers they could catch United on the break with their pace."

Open start to the game at The Hawthorns as first QPR fail to make the most of a promising break down their right, and then two West Brom players go for the same cross and end up fluffing a tame header nowhere.

First chance of the match falls to Leicester striker Leonardo Ulloa. He gets his 25-yard strike horribly wrong and the rising ball is still rising. Well over.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson: "We need to win games, and at home in particular we've got to be a little more offensive. But I do think that in the last few games, we've looked pretty competent, and in the last outing against Spurs, we were unlucky not to get a point.

"It's horses for courses, as they say, and we need to have a threat going forward, but we certainly need to be solid as well with the threat they have going forward."
