Ross Burns: Neuer showing why he's not as good as everyone thinks. Good stopper, terrible decision maker. #calamity

Usama Zafar: Pep Guardiola to City can be on if Porto can somehow knock Bayern out of Champions League.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 15 April 2015

Sebastian Rode scissors Hector Herrera in half after being done up like a kipper by the Porto man's deft little flick.

Yellow card time for the substitute.

Luis Suarez's snakehips are swaying over in Paris. The former Liverpool man has just given Barcelona a 2-0 lead over Paris St Germain in the French capital.

That is Jackson Martinez's seventh goal in nine Champions League appearances this season.

This Bayern Munich defence is soft as candy floss in the centre.

Another nothing-much ball forward, but Jerome Boateng gets caught under the arc of the ball, leaping but getting nowhere near making the header.

Jackson Martinez has read it perfectly though. The Porto striker kills the ball with his first touch, ushers it round Manuel Neuer with his second and slides into the unguarded net from a tight angle with his third. Classy.

Ricardo Quaresma attacksImage source, Getty Images

Ricardo Quaresma serves up a lovely, tempting cross to the far post from a good free-kick position, but there are not any Porto shirts attacking that area.

Again Bayern do not look very convincing when Porto sling the ball across from out wide.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:04 British Summer Time 15 April 2015

Bayern have made a change by the way. Mario Gotze has been anonymous and won't be given any longer to make his mark. Sebastian Rode is on in his place.

Abhishek: Some teams score too early. Porto have done that. Half of this leg and another 90 at Allianz Arena. Bayern to go through

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:02 British Summer Time 15 April 2015

Oh my! You have to be a special goalkeeper to get on the shortlist for the Ballon D'Or and that is a special save from Manuel Neuer.

Cat-like reflexes from the Bayern man to thrust a hand up and divert Hector Herrera's stabbed close-range effort over the top after Danilo's cross.

  10. Postpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 15 April 2015

Manuel Neuer duffs a clearing kick straight to hector Herrera on halfway and the Porto midfielder takes up the invite, hitting a hopeful lob back where the ball came from.

He got underneath it a bit though and Neuer is able to get back and under it.

There are lab rats that learn quicker than this Bayern Munich defence.

Another ropey sideways pass from Jerome Boateng, another rotten first touch from Xabi Alonso and Jackson Martinez is almost onto the loose ball...

Sometimes you have to put a size nine through it.

  12. Football League updatepublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 15 April 2015

In the Championship the second half has just got underway at the City Ground where goals from Odion Ighalo and Matthew Connolly have given Watford a 2-0 lead against Nottingham Forest. Watford are level on points with second placed Norwich, but kept out of the automatic promotion places on goal difference, a few more tonight and that could all change. Elsewhere it's half-time at Craven Cottage where it's Fulham 0-1 Rotherham.

It's also half-time in League Two where Carlisle are winning 1-0 away to league leaders Burton.

More direct stuff from Bayern as Mario Gotze lumps towards Robert Lewandowski in the middle. The Poland international is on his own up there and the pass drifts long for a goal-kick.

They won't be getting many points for artistic merits.

Casemiro is a little unsteady on his feet. The Porto midfielder stumbles to the floor under the slightest touch from Thomas Mueller.

Mueller offers him some friendly advice as they climb back to their feet.

    Back underway...

A lot of matey grabbing and slapping between the two managers before kick-off by the way.

Julen Lopetegui and Pep Guardiola were team-mates at Barcelona from 1994-97 and were also in Spain's 1994 World Cup squad together.

Sally Anders: Probably the worst thing you can do to Bayern is give them a reason to score a lot of goals. Good luck Porto!

    Possession and territory

Porto lagging behind in terms of possession and territory, but the stats don't tell you about two gift-wrapped goals.

Goonerama: Saw a solar eclipse a few weeks back but now I've seen a shaky 45 minutes from Manuel Neuer, what's happening?

This Bayern team is doing their best to overturn all those national stereotypes about cool, organised, piano string-tight defending.

They have looked jittery at the back with the ball at their feet and have not commanding in the air at all.

Manuel Neuer has got a dose of the jitters as bad as anyone.
