  5. BREAKING NEWSpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Breaking news from Dundee United, who have issued a statement following a newspaper article claiming that manager Jackie McNamara has benefited financially from the sale of Ryan Gauld to Sporting Lisbon, Andy Robertson to Hull City and Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong to Celtic. McNamara has waived a confidentiality clause in his contract to allow the club to clarify that, while he does receives some bonuses connected with transfers, he is not involved in such negotiations. United also stress that he had not received anything like the reported £500,000. More on that to follow.

It's not as if Ronny Deila's side go into the game lacking motivation of their own. Yes, they are strong favourites to retain the title and are five points clear at the top with a game in hand, but they won't want to give second-top Aberdeen renewed hope as they have shown themselves capable of giving the Glasgow side a fright until falling slightly off the pace in recent weeks.

Facing leaders Celtic is not the kind of match St Mirren will relish as their desperation for points heightens, starting tonight four points adrift of Motherwell at the foot of the table and a further three adrift of Ross County.
