Pan-Somalist (replying to Jonathan Collins's thoughts at 22:01): Didn't Pep sell Ronaldinho, Deco, Oleguer and co and build his own team from Barcelona?

The Bundesliga's website ran a live text of the build-up to tonight's game, and they weren't pulling any punches with how important this match was for Pep Guardiola.

"Regarded as one of world football's most talented tactical minds, Pep Guardiola is gearing up for an encounter which could define his legacy as head coach of FC Bayern München," they said.

He's come through this test with some style, I'm sure we can agree.

  7. How's stat?!published at 22:08 British Summer Time 21 April 2015

    • Bayern have netted six headed goals in the Champions League this season, more than any other side.

    • Bayern are the first team to score three headed goals in one Champions League match since September 2013 (PSG v Olympiakos).

And here's some reaction from Bayern striker Thomas Muller: "It's hard to find any words. I'm quite exhausted., but it couldn't have gone any better. We never imagined to play like we played in the first half, it was really hard work. Great compliments to my team."

  9. Player reactionpublished at 22:05 British Summer Time 21 April 2015

Bayern's two-goal striker Robert Lewandowski has been speaking to the media, here's what he said to Uefa.com: "The first half was simply awesome, it was totally great. We are Bayern and we can turn a 3-1 defeat around. We knew we had to push really hard. Five goals in the first half are absolutely crazy, of course."

Jonathan Collins: Pep Guardiola is only a good manager because he has the team already there. Jose Mourinho had to make the team at Porto and Inter and won the Champions League with them both. So Mourinho is the better manager by 10 times.

The draw for the semi-finals of the Champions League takes place on Friday. It'll be mouth-watering whichever combination comes out.

  15. Has the Champions League become predictable?published at 21:58 British Summer Time 21 April 2015

BBC Radio 5 live's Pat Nevin at Allianz Arena

"It got predictable a long time ago. It's a little bit of a shame. We try not to be biased during commentary but Porto were the last of the little teams and they've been absolutely whacked, swatted like flies out of the way.

"There's always Spanish and German teams in the semi-finals, the odd time an Italian or English team but that's it. And even then it's the same teams. But it doesn't mean it's not exciting."

Parul Sharma: It would be quite disappointing not to see Bayern Munich v Barcelona final now! And won't be fair to either of team as well.

Lifa Nati: Still don't rate Pep. He has managed two teams with exceptional players. I would like to see him build a team from the ground up.

I've got a new toy and I'm going to use it to sum up Bayern's first-half dominance - here is the heat map of their two centre-halves. They were just extra midfielders.

It's been a significant night in all three divisions of the Football League with joy and heartache in equal measure.

Millwall's hopes of escaping the Championship's relegation zone suffered a big blow as they let in two late goals to the prolific Rudi Gestede and Jordan Rhodes at Blackburn. The Lions are four points adrift of safety with two games left to play.

It's as you were at the top of League One with second-placed Preston and third-placed MK Dons both winning - leaving North End a point ahead going into the final two weekends of the season. Rochdale kept their slim play-off hopes alive by beating Leyton Orient while there were draws between Swindon and Walsall (3-3) and Scunthorpe and Bradford (1-1).

The defeats for Orient and Notts County leave both clubs in desperate trouble.

Southend edged the League Two promotion clash at Bury with former Shaker David Worrall scoring the only goal to take United level on points with third-placed Wycombe.

Want a good stat? On your head, then...

Tonight's game saw the most headed goals in a CL match this season - four.

The dominance shown by Bayern and Barcelona tonight shows just how far behind the Premier League clubs are. Even Chelsea would have struggled to contain these two tonight.
