BBC Final Score"If you make an appointment early enough and give them a chance you get your rewards. That is what West Brom have done and credit to them for getting Tony Pulis in.
"If Newcastle get a point it will be important for them as it will address the slide after their losing run."

16:48 BST 9 May 2015Gordon: Undoubtedly better as a team under Pochettino instead of Sherwood or AVB? Not at all. A team that loses twice to Stoke, loses at home to Newcastle, WBA, Leicester, gives little or no effort at the end of the season and has Paulinho, Lamela and Chiriches anywhere near the first XI isn't that good to me. I've seen some ropey Spurs sides since I've been following them - since 1958 incidentally.

16:47 BST 9 May 2015Gabby Agbonlahor gets in behind... can he seal it for Villa? No... Aaron Cresswell does well to get back and put the striker off and the ball goes wide.

16:47 BST 9 May 2015Joe, Nottingham: Jamie Vardy has exactly the kind of passion and determination to spur a whole team and its supporters on. Roy Hodgson is in the stands today - take note.

16:47 BST 9 May 2015That's not the spirit, James! FOUR MINUTES added on at Hull. Hull desperately need a goal.

BBC Sport chief football writer at St James' Park"There will be a few thousand Newcastle fans knee-deep in chewed fingernails the way things are going here. Last few minutes and while they may yet end that run of eight successive defeats this game is now so stretched we could yet get a winner from either side."

16:43 BST 9 May 2015James Haworth: As a Blackburn fan, I can tell you I'm just about to get the party poppers out and put the banners up. Burnley are going down, and we're having a party.

16:43 BST 9 May 2015Another goal for Stoke caps an impressive performance and result. Marko Arnautovic pulls the ball back across goal for Mame Diouf to slide a low shot under Hugo Lloris. Game, set and match.

16:43 BST 9 May 2015West Brom push forward and Tim Krul has to make another save from Saido Berahino. As it stands a point will be enough for Newcastle to stay out of the relegation zone. After eight defeats on the spin is a point good enough?

16:42 BST 9 May 2015Mark J, Writtle: Cheer up Hull fans - you've got Spurs next week. Guaranteed three points as the Spurs back four will no doubt be flicking through travel brochures during the game.

16:41 BST 9 May 2015Still Aston Villa fail to put the result beyond doubt, this time Ashley Westwood dragging a low shot wide.

16:41 BST 9 May 2015Both sides have really lacked quality and composure today. Hull craft a good counter-attack but when a simple ball inside was needed Nikica Jelavic undercooks it and the chance goes begging. Steve Bruce looks to the heavens. He won't want to look at the table...

YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 9 May 2015
16:39 BST 9 May 2015West Brom sub James Morrison lunges in ugly and late on Ryan Taylor, it's an out of control tackle and he's lucky to only see yellow to be honest.
