The relief at Villa Park is palpable as the hosts hang on for three big points. Jagielka's late header made for a nervous final few seconds but Tim Sherwood's team hold out.
What was that about being comfortable? Leighton Baines' corner is headed on to the bar by James McCarthy, it loops up and Phil Jagielka is there to head the ball in from close range.
We're in stoppage time now and Villa are looking comfortable.

Final Score
"Tom Cleverly has been a revelation since Tim Sherwood took over. He always used to go sideways and was lacking in confidence but that was a great run and finish. Everton have woken up in the second half a bit but Villa are still looking strong. That goal came at a vital time."
Seamus Coleman goes down under a challenge by Charles N'Zogbia in the area but the appeals are waved away.
Liam Kennedy: Tim Sherwood has even got Cleverley scoring. Magician.
Alan Hutton is on for Leandro Bacuna. The Scotsman is a little more defensively minded than his Dutch team-mate.
All of a sudden, there's a nervous hush around Villa Park but the home team are doing OK. Ten minutes remain.
Ross Barkley's first action is to fire in an effort from 20 yards but it's blocked by a crowd of Villa players. Everton are seeing a lot of the ball now.
Both teams make changes. Ross Barkley and Leon Osman are on for Everton in place of Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas, while Ashley Westwood is replaced by Carlos Sanchez for the hosts.
The other significant score for Villa is that Sunderland are 2-1 up against Southampton. The Black Cats are still in the bottom three but only two points behind Villa, who are 14th as it stands.
Ten-man Burnley are 1-0 down against West Ham.
Tatenda Chakaduka: Sherwood is good with strikers, motivated Adebayor, gave Kane game time now turning Benteke into; well Benteke 2012/13.

That's Cleverley's second goal in as many matches for Villa after going 26 without scoring.
A brilliant ball from Leandro Bacuna picks out Tom Cleverley's burst through the middle and the on-loan Manchester United player rifles the ball into the roof of the net. Villa fans in full voice again.
The Villa fans respond to falling behind by shouting even louder for their team. Big 30 minutes coming up for the hosts now. Can they hang on?
Romelu Lukaku squeezes his spot kick beyond Shay Given. The Everton striker's technique was unusual to say the least as he attempted to send the Villa goalkeeper the wrong way.
Villa get themselves in a mess at the back and Ron Vlaar's clumsy challenge on Steven Naismith is spotted by referee Mark Clattenburg.
Romelu Lukaku has had Everton's best chance but Villa are keeping close tabs on the Belgian striker.
Now it's Villa's turn press again. Jack Grealish and Fabian Delph are both seeing plenty of the ball and the home fans are responding by generating a good atmosphere.
