Gordon: Undoubtedly better as a team under Pochettino instead of Sherwood or AVB? Not at all. A team that loses twice to Stoke, loses at home to Newcastle, WBA, Leicester, gives little or no effort at the end of the season and has Paulinho, Lamela and Chiriches anywhere near the first XI isn't that good to me. I've seen some ropey Spurs sides since I've been following them - since 1958 incidentally.

Charlie Adam is on fire. The Scot is denied his second goal of the afternoon by a full-stretch dive by Hugo Lloris after a clever run by the midfielder. Stoke are eyeing a third goal.

Adam, London: This is just ridiculous, why start Chiriches at centre back when Dier could move there and Yedlin could play at right back? He has just cost us any chance of a comeback.

Stoke have been camped inside their own half since Spurs went down to 10 men. But the Potters defence has been solid all afternoon, with Tottenham being forced to feed off scraps.

Vlad Chiricheș was brought in to replace Danny Rose who is suffering a slight groin problem. The Romanian has let his team down badly.
