Crystal Palace fans might have had this marked down as a potential day of destiny as they headed into 2015 in the relegation zone.
However, the appointment of Alan Pardew as manager at the start of January long since killed off that worry - even if last weekend's win at Liverpool to spoil Steven Gerrard's Anfield farewell stopped a run of four successive defeats.
Eight previous wins under Pardew had already secured safety, making this afternoon about trying to get the point Palace need to set a new club record tally for the Premier League.

Swansea have already surpassed their Premier League best in an outstanding season for the Welshmen and boss Garry Monk.
Only once before have they racked up more points in the top flight - the 69 they managed in 1981/82 under legendary former manager John Toshack.
That's out of reach but after five wins in their previous eight away games, Monk will wants his players to finish on a high.
