Keep an eye on midfielder Jill Scott. I've heard her called 'Crouchy' before due to her long limbs but Bronze also says Scott 'thinks she's Maradona in training with all the tricks.'

Can Scott be England's match-winner tonight?

Meet the Augustines from Edmonton, guess which team they are supporting? Nicky (bottom right) is in bullish mood, opting for a 10-0 win for Japan. His brother, Alex, is more conservative with a 1-0 prediction. Quite quiet outside so far, with early ticket sales expected to reach 35,000. Capacity is 56,000 here.

Mark Sampson is not a man short of confidence and he gave the waiting Fifa cameras a wink as he marched off the team bus and down the tunnel.

Defender Alex Scott looks to be in charge of pre-game music, what do we reckon is on their playlist? Lose Yourself by Eminem followed by World in Motion would get my vote...

Packed media room here in the bowels of the stadium, easily the busiest so far as you might expect for a World Cup semi-final. I'd guess that about 80% are from Japanese media, with about 10% from England. TV audiences have reached over 10m for Japanese games during this tournament, and with kick-off in Tokyo at 9am, they are sure to get another bumper audience for this match.

  20. "Watch out for Ogimi"published at 22:54

    Japan v England (00:00 BST)

    Quote Message

England boss Mark Sampson makes one change to the side which beat Canada in the quarter-final. Toni Duggan comes into replace Karen Carney, with Jodie Taylor remaining up top. Expect a 4-5-1 in defence, with Duggan and Jill Scott springing forward to support the lone striker. Goalkeeper Karen Bardsley is fine after an allergic reaction in the last round. Watch out for former Chelsea striker Yuki Ogimi in the Japan side.
