On the pitch, the tempo has slowed down a bit after a pretty fast start. Still no real chances for either side yet, though.
As I mentioned earlier, this fixture represents a reunion between Colombia defender Juan Zuniga and Brazil forward Neymar. It was Zuniga's challenge on Neymar that caused the injury that ruled the latter out of the 2014 World Cup, but there's no bad blood between the two tonight, as the above picture shows.
It is good, fast-paced football from both sides in the early stages but it is Colombia who are looking the most threatening going forward.
A Brazil attack breaks down and Colombia break on the counter through Jaun Cuadrado. He feeds the ball to James Rodriguez, who in turn finds Teo Gutierrez but his ball into the box is behind Radamel Falcao.
Neymar is straight into the thick of things, jinking his way down the left. His cross is blocked but he soon regains possession outside the D. He feeds the ball to Willian, whose low drive is blocked.
It is a good start by Brazil, but Colombia swiftly embark on their first attack, James Rodriguez racing away down the left but his cross is far too deep and the chance is gone.
Brazil can all but secure a place in the last eight with a win, defeat for Colombia will put them on the cusp of an early exit. This should be a cracker!
It is the Brazilians to get us under way.
Both teams link arms and the stadium falls quiet as a minute's silence takes place to remember two-time Brazilian World Cup-winning midfielder Zito, who died recently.
Definitely 1-0 to Colombia in the anthem singing there. A ripple of applause in the stands suggests there is a larger Colombia following at the Estadio Monumental, too.
Some solid anthem singing by the Colombian players and a few of them are evidently happy with their efforts as they thump their chests at the end to the sound of a huge roar around the stadium. Now Brazil.
Noel Fitzpatrick: More hope than expectation in Colombia, and removing Bacca and leaving in Falcao has not gone down well here!
Sbusiso: Neymar is the main man in that Brazilian team l believe in him,not to forget the little magician he is yet to get started.
As expected, those vuvuzelas I mentioned earlier are being tooted vociferously at a packed Estadio Monumental. It looks as though it is absolutely freezing in Santiago, too, with Colombia boss Jose Pekerman wearing a hefty coat, collar up and scarf wrapped round his neck.
Some jovial music blasts out over the speakers as the two sets of players walk out on to the pitch. National anthems to come and away we go.
Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal is the top scorer at this year's Copa America with three goals but he has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week.
The 28-year-old crashed his Ferrari in Santiago late on Tuesday, suffering minor bruising. He has had his driving licence suspended, but will retain his place in Chile's team.
"I let everyone down," a tearful Vidal said as he was released.
El Roy: 3-1 Brazil David Luiz first goal
Maxime Selmi Duprant: Draw 2-2 Falcao & Cuadrado
Might be waiting a while for your four goals, El Roy, David Luiz starts on the bench.
Dani Alves likes to make an entrance -whether it is riding an escalator like Spiderman, external before the Champions League final, or arriving at the semi-finals in a red tuxedo., external.
He is playing it low key tonight though. Not even a pair of massive over-ear headphones as he rocks up at Estadio Monumental. I thought they were standard issue.
Chelsea fans will have particular interest in how Colombia fare at the Copa America.
Their winger Juan Cuadrado starts tonight alongside Radamel Falcao, who is understood to be on the verge of joining Jose Mourinho's side.
Nothing has officially been confirmed, but Cuadrado perhaps let the cat out of the bag in Colombia's pre-match news conference, saying: "It's important to have a team-mate like him at the club, but now I'm concentrating on the Copa America and will talk about it later."
Ah, the teams are finally in.
David Luiz is on the bench while Neymar starts as expected for Brazil and will line-up against defender Juan Zuniga, who is in the Colombia XI. Radamel Falcao leads the attack for the Colombians, with James Rodriguez and Chelsea's Jaun Cuadrado in support.
Brazil XI: Jefferson, Filipe Luis, Miranda, Thiago Silva, Dani Alves, Elias, Willian, Roberto Firmino, Fred, Fernandinho, Neymar.
Colombia XI: Ospina, Armero, Murillo, Zapata, Zuniga, Valencia, Sanchez, James, Cuadrado, Teo, Falcao,
It was not all good news for Argentina, however.
Manager Gerardo Martino has been given a one-game ban after he was sent off in the win against Uruguay and the former Barcelona boss will sit in the stands for Argentina's final Group B game against Jamaica.
A bigger concern, though, is that Sergio Aguero injured his shoulder in the win. It's unlikely to be anything for Manchester City fans to worry about, but he is a doubt for that Jamaica game.
The Argentina lads have been relaxing today after picking up their first win of the 2015 Copa America against Uruguay yesterday.
Manchester City's Sergio Aguero scored the game's only goal as Argentina moved on to four points in Group B after letting slip a two-goal lead in their opener against Paraguay to draw 2-2.
"It was a physical duel, a fight, and we showed we can also play that way," Lionel Messi said of the Uruguay win. "We do not look for it, but we know how to play this way too."
Johnny Magrinho: I can't fathom any outcome other than Neymar dancing his Brazilian friends to victory tonight & in the tournament. He's magical!
Juan Zuniga was vilified in Brazil after causing Neymar's injury in the World Cup, but Brazil coach Dunga is in forgiving mood.
"The way I see it, it was a harsh but normal duel," he says.
"Zuniga lost his coordination. He couldn't stop, so he ended up fouling him. I always think no player goes into a tackle with a malicious thought; to try to take an opponent out of the match."
I've not seen an official team-sheet yet, but it looks like defender Juan Zuniga starts for Colombia judging by the above picture, meaning he will renew acquaintances with Neymar - the player he injured and ultimately ruled out of the 2014 World Cup.
