An entertaining 90 minutes at the Cardiff City Stadium if you were a neutral! It was an end-to-end sort of match with both sides enjoying dominant spells with possession.

After a goalless first half, Matt Smith broke the deadlock soon after the restart to give Fulham the lead when he latched onto the rebound of Ben Pringle's long-range drive to nod home.

But Cardiff City forced an equaliser late on when Craig Noone unleashed a fantastic shot from distance to give the hosts a share of the points and prevent an opening day defeat.

  4. MAN OF THE MATCHpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

In a slightly bizarre twist at the end of the game, Leeds skipper Sol Bamba and Burnley's Sam Vokes were interviewed at the same time on television.

Vokes was then asked to present Bamba with his Man of the match award, and being the nice lad he is, they awkwardly shook hands and said well done.

Two matches down, 32 to go in the Football League today.

There are some key games across the Football League today with Hull City and Queens Park Rangers making their return to the Championship against Huddersfield and Charlton, respectively. Meanwhile Teddy Sheringham takes a break from scoring wonder goals to make his managerial debut with League Two Stevenage, as they face Notts County.

BBC local radio teams across the country are in position to commentate on today's matches, just like BBC Radio Lancashire's Andy Bayes and ex-Blackburn striker Kevin Gallacher, who are at Ewood Park for Blackburn v Wolves.

    Sam VokesImage source, PA

Burnley striker Sam Vokes told Sky Sports: "It's great to get on the pitch off the bench and get a goal.

"It's a tough place to come on the first day and for us it's a good point we can build on. From kick-off we kept the ball very well and it was a good team goal in the end.

"Obviously we want to be competing at the top of the table so we'll do our best."

  7. FT: Leeds 1-1 Burnleypublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

Leeds captain Sol Bamba told Sky Sports: "It is definitely a more settled squad.

"Now it is up to us to to it on the pitch and today I think we've done that.

"We've got a good squad and we definitely want to do better than last year."

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

A keenly contested game and a fair result overall.

There is some heavy blowing at the end from players who have put a lot into that game.

Mirco Antenucci came on and scored a beautiful curler that looked to have won it for Leeds, but Sam Vokes' bullet header takes home a point on Burnley's return to the Championship.

  9. Leeds 1-1 Burnleypublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

That man Mirco Antenucci has made a real difference since coming on.

Cutting in from the left this time, he fires a shot in from the edge of the area but it is easy enough for Tom Heaton.

  10. Leeds 1-1 Burnleypublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

Long balls from both teams have been dealt with easily so far.

Obviously they are not wanting to concede, but little in the way of football that is going to win you a game at the moment.

  11. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

Five minutes goes up on the board here. Plenty of time for another goal methinks.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

The experience of Matthew Taylor replaces Michael Kightly for Burnley.

Scott Wootton and Souleymane Doukara come on for the hosts - they replace Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook.

Can another substitute grab a winner?

  13. Leeds 1-1 Burnleypublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

The game is opening up now.

Both teams want to start their season with a win - Sam Vokes scuffs an effort from the edge of the area after a Marvin Sordell break.

  14. GOAL (Vokes)published at 14:15 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

    Another goal, another substitute.

A curling cross from debutant right-back Tendayi Darikwa finds Sam Vokes seven yards out, and he brilliantly guides his header into the far corner.

Both managers will be delighted at the impact their changes have made.

  15. GOAL (Antenucci)published at 14:12 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

An absolute pearler from Leeds substitute Mirco Antenucci.

Controlling the ball on the right-hand side of the box, he cuts inside a defender to make space and opens up his body, before curling a brilliant shot into the far corner.

He gave Tom Heaton absolutely no chance.

  16. Leeds 0-0 Burnleypublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

After the delightful rare sight of a contested drop ball, Sam Vokes wins a free-kick for Burnley on the left of Leeds' penalty area.

Their defence hold hands to position themselves, that's new. After being headed back across goal by the Clarets, it comes to nothing.

  17. Leeds 0-0 Burnleypublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

Good bit of build-up play from Burnley as left-back Ben Mee comes forward. He plays a one-two but it is a tired shot from 25 yards out that is never testing the goalkeeper.

  18. Leeds 0-0 Burnleypublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

Michael Duff is forced off for after a challenge from Chris Wood.

Cue players from both teams running to the sideline to take on some fluid.

When play resumes, Mirco Antenucci has his first sight of goal but his poor shot goes harmlessly over.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 8 August 2015

As soon as I say that, Burnley freshen things up.

It's a whole new strike force with Lukas Jutkiewicz and Jelle Vossen off and Marvin Sordell and Sam Vokes on.

Leeds make one of their own at the next break in play, as debutant Stuart Dallas is withdrawn for Mirco Antenucci. What can their top scorer from last season do?
