Former Bournemouth manager Harry Redknapp on BBC Radio 5 live: "Bournemouth will have setbacks this season and it will be about how they recover from those. There will be ups and downs this season. There will be blips but suddenly you pick up a win and away you go again.

"I am very confident that Bournemouth will be good enough to stay in the division. They were so good last year and I don't see why they cannot continue playing well."

My tip for one of the surprises of the season - Matt Ritchie.

The Bournemouth winger was brilliant for the Cherries last season, and was a cut above when I saw him regularly playing for Swindon a couple of years ago.

Cut this entry out and keep it, because I reckon he will grab a few goals this season.

Is he in the first XI today? We are about to get all the 15:00 BST kick-off team news.

All over in Wales as Cardiff rescue a point against Fulham, Matt Smith's first-half goal cancelled out by Craig Noone's equaliser.

We managed to sign some big players. We have real talent come into the squad. We have some way to go to get to the level of Stoke. It's not about endurance, it's about making an impact of winning a cup or getting into Europe.

"Off the back of their best ever Premier League finish, Alan Pardew has enhanced the positivity surrounding Crystal Palace with the additions of record signing Yohan Cabaye and Connor Wickham.

"He has increased the quality of the squad still further with Chelsea's prolific young striker Patrick Bamford and former Wolves winger Bakary Sako.

"It all points to a tough-looking opener for play-off winners Norwich, whose own summer reshuffle has been a great deal more modest.

"With their home form likely to be pivotal, I don't foresee this being an ideal start!"
