Finally some attacking intent from the hosts. Cedric rampages down the right and his cross is headed over for a corner by Danny Simpson.

More nervy times for Saints goalkeeper Kelvin Davis as he and defender Virgil Van Dijk go for the same ball, the stopper is out of position but the ball is bundled away and into his grateful arm.

An early chance for the visitors as stand-in goalkeeper Kelvin Davis bundles away Christian Fuchs's right wing cross with Marc Albrighton lurking.

    Here come the teams.

Southampton ripped apart Premier League champions Chelsea last time out but surely they won't find things so easy against Leicester.

A sentence I never expected to say.

    Martin Fisher
Match of the Day commentator at St Mary's

"There are some cracking fixtures this Saturday in the Premier League but this one might just be the pick of them.

"After a slow start Southampton have clicked in to gear and the way they ripped apart champions Chelsea last time out was astonishing.

"Leicester continue to surprise and delight in equal measure, their place in the top five the result of exciting football rather than stodgy defending.

"Their unlikely success story is personified by Jamie Vardy, currently the Premier League's top scorer. His shoot-out with Graziano Pelle will be a gripping sub-plot. I can't wait!"

Southampton didn't start the season brilliantly but in the last few weeks they appear to have got their mojo back.

Their win over Chelsea last time out means they have won back-to-back league games for the first time since January and they have taken 19 points from their last nine home games.

This is a real test for Leicester.

    Who would have thought it?

Eight games into the Premier League season and Leicester are in the top five.

They are unbeaten away from home so far this campaign and have silenced the many doubters who predicted the exit of manager Nigel Pearson would result in relegation.

Claudio Ranieri's arrival has just seen them carry on where they left off last season.
