"In 'normal times' no-one would potentially raise an eyebrow at the prospect of anything but a home win. But, given Chelsea's current predicament, the seed of doubt is there.
"Norwich, boosted by their win against Swansea, will bid to become the latest team to use the uncertainty to their advantage."

Quote MessageAt Leeds in the early 2000s, we were 15th and went on to finish fourth. Everyone says it is not possible to go on a late surge – but it is. You look at the quality of the rest of the Premier League, no-one is blowing it away. If Chelsea can get that win and go on a run they have the players to do it. The squad is still exceptional. At some point they will give someone a hiding to nothing. Norwich will be hoping ‘please not us today’.

If Norwich are to cause Mourinho and his side further consternation today they will have to reverse a pretty woeful away record, which has seen them win just one on the road this season.
Since beating Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on 15 August, they have lost at Southampton, drawn at Liverpool, been thumped at Newcastle, and narrowly beaten at Manchester City.

Cesc Fabregas returns to the Chelsea side as they look to end a run of three straight defeats. The midfielder replaces Ramires, who drops to the bench. Branislav Ivanovic is back in defence, where he is joined by Kenedy. Cesar Azpilicueta and Baba Rahman are the men to drop out.
Chelsea XI: Begovic, Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry, Kenedy, Matic, Fabregas, Pedro, Willian, Hazard, Diego Costa.
Norwich make three changes. Youssouf Mulumbu and Nathan Redmond come in to midfield for Alex Tettey and Wes Hoolahan, while Dieumerci Mbokani starts in attack ahead of Cameron Jerome.
Norwich: Ruddy, Wisdom, Bennett, Bassong, Olsson, Howson, Mulumbu, O'Neil, Brady, Redmond, Mbokani.

This afternoon's game could be seen as something of a fresh start for Mourinho and his team, many of whom have had a week or two of distance from the club and its woes courtesy of an international break.
A lot of damage has been done but there is still 26 games to go and time to salvage something from the wreckage of their title defence.

Lose to West Ham and he's gone. A defeat to Liverpool will be his last. Stoke away? A must win.
Jose Mourinho has reportedly been dealing with the impending sack for the past month and yet he remains in place to lead his champions into their latest attempt at resurrection, at home against Norwich this afternoon.
Will today be the day that Chelsea return to form, or are Norwich about to deliver the knock-out blow? One way or another, something has got to give.
