The mascot has just come out on stage! Don't know much about him? Well here he is - Super Victor.

Uefa describe this little fella as "a boy with super powers – a boy whose cape and magic boots allow him to fly, be a little football genius and spread magic wherever he goes."

Tricky business, designing a popular mascot. The worst I remember was the below effort from Euro 2000 - Benelucky. Fifteen years later and I'm still not sure what it is.

After that nice, slow soothing music from Eiffel Tower dress woman the older members of the audience have just been jolted awake by a load of hip hop dancers wearing the T-shirts bearing the flags of the 24 countries involved leaping about to some heavy beat music.

Wonder what Roy Hodgson reckons to all this? Bit more for the yoof.

Smoke, clouds and a woman wearing a dress that is designed to look like the Eiffel Tower singing. Classic pre-draw stuff this.

Things are a bit less Eurovisiony now as we get taken around the venues for Euro 2016. That accordion is still there though.

Adrian Mantack Canaan: Everyone's saying they'll take 3 easy points from England but England are the only team to qualify with a 100% win record. No group was particularly hard this campaign

Peter Verhey: I support albania, I am dutch. they will surprise, because they play with their heart, not their walle

David Geary: I gave up 'dreaming' after the 2010 World Cup

Before the draw, we're being taken through what is apparently a fantastic musical journey through French culture.

Can Can dancers kick things off, there's an accordion player there too. Wales boss Chris Coleman looks bemused. We don't know either Chris.

Two former European Championship winners will conduct today's draw.

Ruud Gullit, who helped the Netherlands lift the trophy in 1988, and Bixente Lizarazu, a winner of the tournament with France in 2000, are tasked with plucking the balls out of the pots.

Several other former finalists will give them a hand, including Oliver Bierhoff, who grabbed the winner for Germany at Euro '96, and Czech Republic legend Antonin Panenka, creator of the Panenka penalty and wearer of one of football's finest moustaches.

The national team managers and legends of past European Championships have all walked the red carpet and are in the building, ready for the draw.

No signs of nerves with instead everyone all smiles. Well, except for France boss Didier Dechamps in this picture.

Deschamps knows his side will be in Group A, but who will they get?

Here's where the England delegation are seated, right in front of the old enemy Germany.

Meetings between the two often ended in tears for England, but a smattering of good news for the Three Lions is that the two can't be drawn in the same group as each other.

Germany boss Joachim Low will have to make do with kicking the back of Roy Hodgson's seat for now.

  18. Third time lucky for Republic of Ireland?published at 16:43

The Republic of Ireland beat England in their 1988 European Championship opener but failed to win another game in that tournament and lost all three of their matches at Euro 2012, albeit in a tough group featuring Spain, Italy and Croatia.

They have plenty of experience to draw on, boasting the oldest average squad in qualifying.

Best case draw: Portugal, Ukraine, Slovakia.

    Worst-case draw: Germany, Italy, Poland.

  20. O'Neill doesn't fancy England drawpublished at 16:38

Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill says he "wouldn't pick" England as one of his group opponent.

"It's not a game I would really like," he said. "Given the nature of it, with two of the home nations involved, it might overshadow the other two games and at the end of the day, there are three points for every game."

Watch an interview with O'Neill here.
